I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and graduated from Occidental College in 2005 with a B.A. in biology. Upon graduating I taught middle school and then high school, and quickly realized that it wasn't for me. In 2007 I returned to school as a student at the University of Tennessee, where I am studying nutrition and public health (with the goal of becoming a registered dietitian).
It is strange to be so far away from friends and family immersed in a world of college football and sweet tea (if you have never had sweet tea, you are seriously missing out), but so far my husband and I are enjoying this little adventure in a new place.
