I've spent my entire professional life in journalism after graduating with a degree in English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh in 1992. Currently the senior business editor for a Los Angeles-based trade magazine, my career has led me to covering the White House and Congress for The Washington Times, and writing editorials and columns at newspapers in Pittsburgh, Pa., Fredericksburg, Va., and Riverside, Calif.

I live in the San Gabriel Valley of Southern California with my artist wife, dogs Darby and Alex, and cat Eskimo.

An avid golfer and sports fan, I am devoted to the Pittsburgh Steelers and the teams of my alma mater -- where I was a drummer in the marching band.
