Is it time to start thinking about a joint ticket?
Clinton vs. Obama: We're all friends here, right?
For one evening, at least, the knives weren't out. Yes, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton critiqued each other's records during Thursday's debate in Los Angeles, but the angry rhetoric of their recent campaign clashes had little to be seen.
So what do we know about the two candidates that we didn't before? And could one of them play vice president to the other?

Running Mates
Submitted on January 31st, 2008 by Monkey DavidI find it hard to imagine either version of this ticket...why would Obama accept a spot of the ticket, when the last two democratic running mates--Lieberman and Edwards--got nothing from it? Sure, being on a winning ticket and chasing a nomination as a sitting VP gives some advantage, but G.H.W. Bush was the first sitting VP since Van Buren to actually win. Obama's better choice would be Arizona governor Napolitano, putting McCain's own state into play and bringing back those who suported Clinton just because she's a woman. Clinton's best choice is tougher, but also should be someone from the west...the pressure on her to offer it to Obama first will be tremendous, though I expect him to refuse.
