Rush Limbaugh rails against Bill Kristol in this image taken from Limbaugh's site.
Rush Limbaugh takes on ... the Republicans?
One of the loudest voices against the presidential candidacies of John McCain and Mike Huckabee is one of the loudest voices anywhere. Rush Limbaugh has spent recent days criticizing the two Republicans and complaining that they're not real conservatives -- much to the ire of conservative pundits like Bill Kristol, David Brooks and Michael Medved.
Who will go down first -- talk radio or the conservative establishment? And what does that mean for the GOP coalition?

Medved sez:

From his lips to God's ears!
Talk radio/Republican nexus
Submitted on January 23rd, 2008 by Jim LakelyI do believe these guys really believe what they are saying on the radio. The business plan that calls for shilling for the party, and being supported by the party establishment, is the failed plan of Air America.
Guys like Rush, Hewitt, Hannity, Medved, Ingraham, Levin -- and even Howard Stern -- built their own audiences. And from that they gained their influence with the public and powerful people. It didn't happen the other way around.
And lest you think that any and every right-wing gabber can be a juggernaut, I offer you the parade of dying stars like Michael Reagan, Mike Gallagher, Lars Larson, Roger Hedgecock, G. Gordon Liddy, and Ken Hamblin.
Talent and ratings rule in Talk Radio. Nothing else.
Talk Radio
Submitted on January 23rd, 2008 by RIXXIs it too simplistic to suspect that there is a financial connection between the talk radio heads and the moneyed interests of the Republican establishment?
Are these dudes just shilling or do they really believe themselves?
