On Nov. 4, 2008, Americans will go to the polls for the 56th time since the country's founding to vote for the country's next president. Serious candidates for the 2008 election include Republican nominee John McCain and Democratic contenders Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. The top issues for the 2008 election include the economy, the war on terror, the war in Iraq, health care, illegal immigration and the environment. So far in the 2008 election, people have turned out in record numbers to vote for thier nominee.
