This statement is Absolutley REDICULOUS! You do not Know OBAMA or his wife so I really don't see how you can sit there and say that he is racist? So he sat in a church BIG DEAL. This is the most immature plea to vote for someone else that I have ever read. GROW UP! If Obama hated white people so much One he wouldn't be trying to be the president, and Two every commercial that he is in wouldn't have a single white person in it. Obama came to a town near mine where there might be 10 people of another race other than white, Now if Obama was really that against white people why would he do that.... Exactly he wouldn't so maybe you need to get your facts straight before claiming that someone is a racist purley because you don't want to vote for them. Maybe your the Racist!!
If they had any brains, they would throw out both Clinton and Obama and put Edwards back on the ticket for a win.
Once again the only way the Democrats can lose is if they run Clinton or Obama
I think the Republicans should be elected because if a Democrat gets in the White House, within 4 months, the spin from the press will put the blame of all the depression and war on the Democrats and the stupid sheep Americans will believe the spin just like they have for over 8 years. Don't put your faith in Americans. They just do what they are told.
I don't think that any of the candidates promising that they can do anything matters because it is always up to congress and not really them. What we need in our country is a good example and morals for a president. I know that being in a another country and seeing our president on tv and he has done something bad is very embarrassing to America.I believe that obama is a better leader and example than clinton........
If Al Gore had carried one of these small states that Obama has won Florida would not have mattered. How did Hiliary win Texas when Obama got more deligates? California and New York are going to vote democratic. Texas will vote Republican. My home state, Florida, will be a toss up.
I am a soon to be 64 year old Republican that has never voted for a Democrat for President. In fact I can only remember one President that I voted for and that was Ragan. All the other candidates that I voted for was aganist the other person running. You really want another Clinton in the White House. Sure will be expensive. Can't imagine Bill running around the White House with nothing to do. You'll have to hire a security guard for every maid in the White House. No Clinton or McCain for me I stick with Obama. Experience in Washington is not a good thing. Look at all the experience some of them have been there for decades. Look what a hell of a mess that have goten our country in.
As a citizen, the uper delegates have a responsibility to their constituants and not to themselves or their porking at our cost. Should Obama get the vote for the nominee, the democratic party will be split forever. It is not his time. Many people talk in my area & none will vote for him at the poles. I am blue collar america! I believe in diversity. But, seriously, who is really voting for him. Ted Kennedy..hmmm, something there...the Chavez connection. Obama's inability to answer a question straight up? I will abandon this party forever should he get the nomination and many I speak to...just us citizens, now...feel the same. McCain will win. No doubt about it, even folks in the north east & midwest say the same...again, just us voters who will be at the poles in Nov. Go ahead and send another republican to the white house for 8 more years....that is what this party is doing & the media is in it all the way. thank you.
I am truly saddend by the way this democratic campaign has unfolded. One with an out of control Pastor; and one with an out of control husband.
Honestly, we have two great candidates that are also "politicians." On one hand you have a man who "preaches" great hope and change; and on the other hand a very strong women, who may have not truly have
"presidential" experience, but certainly has a clue what goes on in the white house and has been around the block where politics go. So then the question would be this... who is a better candidate? Barack Obama because Oprah says so which is basically how this who thing started... or Hillary Clinton for the shear romance of having a woman President who was married to a former President. Frankly, I wish we could have find a cadidate that was honest, had integrity, one you could trust that had a track record for change and inspiration. If I had one wish, at this point in time, it would be to sit down with both candidates and look them both in the eyes and have a heart to heart talk because when the cameras are gone and the media has gone home, all is left is God and the truth that truly lies within each one.

I think that it wold be distructive to choose a candiadte based on manufactured or distracting issues rather than the opportunity to choose someone who can bring about new ways of making decisions that put the people first instead of big business and lobyists.
the contemporary republicans and democrats are just two sides of the same counterfeit coin, with one exception. Ron Paul speaks truth to power and his record shows that he walks his talk.
When the Independant vote in November McCain will landslide Obama. It' why they voted in the Democratic Primary. Seems the only states Obama wins is the states that allow non-Democrats to vote.
you are thinking of the republican wives, hillary was always involved and has great plans, she wasnt the wife sipping tea she was the lady building plans for universal healthcare, and come on how can you knock that? she has always been involved in politics. she knows her away around the white house, and she is qualified.its really sad when we have trusted women forever to raise the kids, run the house and always keep the peace--couldnt we use that now, someone who can see a better way to communicate without war..war isnt good..peace is good. how about a war on world hunger theres a thought we have every other war, now thats a war worth fighting, bringing poeple together for a greater good.
i agree with you and im definitley not a racist. but i am leary of the little red flags that keep popping up with his ties to muslims, we would be stupid not to.i have heard him talk about change and hope and dreams, but what are they? what are his changes, hopes and dreams thats all great in lala land but we need someone with a plan. i think hillary has proven shes a tough cookie and i do trust her. i resent barack and his twisted words on not voting for the war, he keeps forgetting he didnt vote at all and wasnt in a posistion to vote!its like me saying i never voted for the war, no different--that annoys me and i consider it a lie when you present something falsly.i think hillary will fight to get our country back up where it belongs and put us first.she has alot to proove and she has to fight harder than anyone, because she is a woman and the repulicans hate her because she doesnt back down. she supports issues that really matter to american families, as a mom i feel safer, i now shes not a war monger and w/ 4 sons thats a big concern. i pray and hope we will all come together and do whats right for the better of this country and shes it. we need someone to care about the future and she does. im afraid and uncertain more than ever. im passionate about voting but i and most everyone i talk to says if barack gets in they wont vote for him because they dont trust him and they wont vote for mccain--very sad to say but i wont put my name for someone i dont trust which is barack and mccain. im afraid for the democrat party since so many feel this way.god bless america-i love this country and it breaks my heart to see us like this. god bless us all and keepus and our kids safe. thanks for letting me voice my thoughts!
All I can say is I hope the Democratic win again. I don't like what other has to do. Just like our troop in I eracle ging to see differant stuff. I feel he did n't do any thing for them. I feel the democratic. I am a demorcratic.I hope we win solong judith farren
republicans are awsome but conserning the democrats i hope hillary wins cause obama is a fake and he always talks peace but right now we need a president who might not agree with the war or who might but who knows about it obama dosent have any ideas even to make thing better or at least any that will work
hey shayonna..this is latoya, and im in college! i know how to spell and i know that the republican party is better than the democratic!you don't know the difference between the two parties! maybe in about 8 years when you can vote, you'll gain a little more knowledge and vote republican..thanks!
hey whats up my name is shayonna, im in grammar school. I wanted to let everyone no that i am in a school election against republican and i play one of the democratic runners.first of all i wanted to say that obamam should when beacuse he really care about the real facts and hilary should just sit down because obama has been trying to make it better for us to live.and the only reason she's getting votes is becuase of bill clinton and that isn't right for the real people who want's to make a new life. and beggining and if i wasnt in grammar school i would difentely vote for obama and all of my family understand.i dont get it i just hope obama get's elected to being president because he loves us so much and she doesn't even care about us.sure anough they both will be something new women president and african american president but i think everyone should look at it that way and should have voted.thank u for listenign to my thoughts.
I'm to the point where I give up on both these media darlings. I'm not hopping on either band-wagon. I hope they nominate Gore and crown him. He's the only one who can truly unite the mess the DLC and DNC has got the Dem party into.
Your opinion. Hillary is not any more qualified than Obama. Anyone who knows finance knows that Bill inherited the previous president's economy. His worst mistake (ignoring Osama) has cost this country almost 4,000 lives on 9/11, and over 4,000 in Iraq. No more chances on my part.
It has nothing to do with his race. We just need some one who's going to produce some results. It would have been nice if Clinton and Abahlma were running mates.
I totally agree... Don't get me wrong I like Abahlma I think he's very intelligent but he is not ready for the task yet. Before he emerged on the scene alot of his supporters was backing Hillary then they all of sudden turn coat. See I can't get down with that. I was a Hillary supporter from the beginning and always will. Frankly I don't care who you support that's your prefferance but stick to your decision. Bill has done alot for this country I mean alot and you can not deny that and I will always say he was the coolest President in the White House. Hillary definatly has my support because I've seen her track record and she will do a awsome job as Commander and Cheif.
What real solutions has Hillary brought up? Let's face it...both Democratic candidates are spouting the usual rhetoric. Neither has vast experience in foreign policy, the economy, or dealing with military. Hillary does have Bill and Elton John to lean on. I personally didn't like Bill Clinton as president. The economy he turned around was showing signs of recovery before Bush left office. His foreign policy was less than effective. Bill Clinton was begged by the government of Sudan to take custody of Osama Bin Laden......he refused and the Bin Laden moved his act to Afghanistan in 1996. Must not have been one of those famous 3am calls. I have not made up my mind who I am voting for yet, but the democratic candidates are making McCain look better than he deserves.
I have to agree with you and thought of that myself but didn't write about it because I couldn't find the words to write it. thank you for saying it for me. I know we are not the only ones that feel this way.
What do you expect him to learn from the Washington experience? Or better yet, What has Hillary done with her experience? Day dreaming about how she wished to be a commander in chief does not make her so. I would have agreed with you if you were talking about Al or Bill. Having tea with the spouses of other leaders does not qualify anyone for anything.
While there may be some bigots refusing to vote for him based on his race, I can assure you, many more people won't vote for him because he is not right for the job. Not yet anyhow.
Give him another 10-20 years of service and then maybe I'd consider him, but right now all he does is talk the talk. He gives pretty little speeches and people are just naive enough to fall for his poetic politics.
I know double talk when I see it. I don't trust him one bit--
The reason why people are jumping on the Obama bandwagaon is simple-- he gives a nice little speech. It certainly is not because he has said anything that remotely resembles a solution--but that he says what people 'think' they want to hear. I cannot tell you how many people I have heard say " well, if Hillary wins then we'll have have had only Clintons and Bushes in office for 30+ years, and I don't want that!"
Oh OK, that's intelligent. And I don't want people with that mindset VOTING for the next LEADER! I'll tell ya, I'm REALLY WORRIED about this country. We had two GREAT candidates-- one a Republican--RON PAUL, and one a Democrat--DENNIS KUCINICH. Either would have turned this country upside down and right side up again! Unfortunately, they haven't a chance in hell...
Now, the best candidate LEFT in the race is CLINTON. When Bill was in office, this country was prospering. I believe Hillary will follow in his footsteps.
Voting Obama is a mistake that will have people saying "Well, hindsight is 20/20".
I think the bible was written, and the anti-Christ mentioned long before Mohammad's founding of Islam. It is hate mongerering bigots like you that perpetuate hatred and distrust between religions and races. No one is of Muslim decent. It is their religious choice. You most definately have a different Book of Revelations than I do.
I live in Carpentersville, Illinois and I'm noticing the same sentiment among the yokels. I knew there were still a large number of racists in this country, but I've never seen them be this vocal. I've overheard several conversations all along the lines of, "I won't vote for no n-----", "I don't want that bitch to win, but better her than that n-----." It is sickening and makes me wish I never left San Francisco.
The people here are jumping ship from Dem to Rep because Obama is mixed race and they can not stand that someone of any color beside white will be in the white house. Of 100% that is the reason for 90% of them. Both Clintons have shown that they are liers from taxes to personal. Wake up! With that said I vote Rep but this year I might be jumping ship. Because Obama is the best person for the job;however, if clinton is there I will stay Rep.
Why is it that the press treats them both so differently? They don't put him thru 1/2 the hoops they do her. Every little thing she says is picked apart and twisted and turned till it just gets on your nreves. But oh no--not Mr. Precious--you hear a liitle snipet and boom the press drops it like hot potatoes. Maybe that will change when its the Republicans asking all the tough questions. Make for once he will have to actually answer a question with straight up answers. It just amazes me the kind of treatment he's getting from the press--its like You can't say anything about him or the whole world will say it's because you are being racial and picking on him. He better hope he can take the heat from the Republican's kitchen- cause he sure hasn't seen any yet. Hillary has to be nice--she's supposed to be on his side. If you think the Republicans will be as nice as she's been- you are 100% crazy.
I've never thought about that before. It should be the year to put a Democrat back in the White House, and I would have never ever considered not voting Democrat, until this election. I just can not get behind Obama. Nothing he says is making me "swoon' and "croon" for him. I just don't see what the people who support him see. It makes no sense to me. I would rather support McCain in the end than to just follow the hype-.Other than the war, both of them sound the same to me. I figure the whole glamour of Obama is just because the Republicans think a vote for him will give them back the White House,in an election where they should be losing it. I thinkthere will be more "Democrats" turned back into Republicants in the final election than people who actually support Obama.
I sure do agree with who ever said that this race is set up to give the White House back to the Republicans for another sick 4 years. If it comes down to McCain and Obama- It's a sure fire bet that's how it'll turn out. The young people and the black vote won't be enough to beat the women, the older bunch, the hispanics, the jewish, and the catholics, little lone-the just plain racisits that really do still exist. When I vote,it'll be for Hillary- or I too will jump ship-hold my nose and wote for McCain.
It's an amazing time to be alive in America. We're in a year of firsts in
this presidential election: the first viable woman candidate; the first
viable African-American candidate; and, a candidate who is the first
frontrunning freedom fighter over 70. The next president of America will be
a first.
We won't truly be in an election of firsts, however, until we judge every
candidate by where they stand. We won't arrive where we should be until we
no longer talk about skin color or gender. Now that Barack Obama steps to
the front of the Democratic field, we need to stop talking about his race,
and start talking about his policies and his politics.
The reality is this: Though the Democrats will not have a nominee until
August, unless Hillary Clinton drops out, Mr. Obama is now the frontrunner,
and its time America takes a closer and deeper look at him.
Some pundits are calling him the next John F. Kennedy. He's not. He's the
next George Mc Govern. And it's time people learned the facts.
Because the truth is that Mr Obama is the single most liberal senator in the
entire U.S. Senate. He is more liberal than Ted Kennedy, Bernie Sanders, or
Mrs. Clinton. Never in my life have I seen a presidential frontrunner whose
rhetoric is so far removed from his record. Walter Mondale promised to raise
our taxes, and he lost. George Mc Govern promised military weakness, and he
lost. Michael Dukakis promised a liberal domestic agenda, and he lost.
Yet Mr. Obama is promising all those things, and he's not behind in the
polls. Why? Because the press has dealt with him as if he were in a beauty
pageant. Mr. Obama talks about getting past party, getting past red and
blue, to lead the United States of America. But let's look at the more
defined strokes of who he is underneath this superficial 'beauty.'
Start with national security, since the president's most important duties
are as commander-in-chief. Over the summer, Mr. Obama talked about invading
Pakistan, a nation armed with nuclear weapons; meeting without preconditions
with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who vows to destroy Israel and create another
Holocaust; and Kim Jong II, who is murdering and starving his people, but
emphasized that the nuclear option was off the table against terrorists -
something no president has ever taken off the table since we created nuclear
weapons in the 1940s. Even Democrats who have worked in national security
condemned all of those remarks. Mr. Obama is a foreign-policy novice who
would put our national security at risk.
Next, consider economic policy. For all its faults, our health care system
is the strongest in the world. And free trade agreements, created by Bill
Clinton as well as President Bush, have made more goods more affordable so
that even people of modest means can live a life that no one imagined a
generation ago. Yet Mr Obama promises to raise taxes on 'the rich.' How to
fix Social Security? Raise taxes. How to fix Medicare? Raise taxes.
Prescription drugs? Raise taxes. Free college? Raise taxes Socialize
medicine? Raise taxes. His solution to everything is to have government take
it over. Big Brother on steroids, funded by your paycheck.
Finally, look at the social issues. Mr. Obama had the audacity to open a
stadium rally by saying, 'All praise and glory to God!' but says that
Christian leaders speaking for life and marriage have 'hijacked' - hijacked
- Christianity. He is pro-partial birth abortion, and promises to appoint
Supreme Court justices who will rule any restriction on it unconstitutional.
He espouses the abortion views of Margaret Sanger, one of the early
advocates of racial cleansing. His spiritual leaders endorse homosexual
marriage, and he is moving in that direction. In Illinois, he refused to
vote against a statewide ban - ban - on all handguns in the state. These are
radical left, Hollywood, and San Francis co values, not Middle America
values.
The real Mr. Obama is an easy target for the general election. Mrs. Clinton
is a far tougher opponent. But Mr. Obama could win if people don't start
looking behind his veneer and flowery speeches. His vision of 'bringing
America together' means saying that those who disagree with his agenda for
America are hijackers or warmongers. Uniting the country means adopting his
liberal agenda and abandoning any conflicting beliefs.
But right now everyone is talking about how eloquent of a speaker he is and
- yes - they're talking about his race. Those should never be the factors on
which we base our choice for president. Mr. Obama's radical agenda sets him
far outside the American mainstream, to the left of Mrs. Clinton.
It's time to talk about the real Barack Obama. In an election of firsts,
let's first make sure we elect the person who is qualified to be our
president in a nuclear age during a global civilizational war. Subject: Kind
of scary, wouldn't you think
Remember--God is good, and is in time, on time--every time.
According to The Book of Revelations the anti-Christ is:
The anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40's, of MUSLIM descent, who will
deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like
appeal....the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will
promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destroy
everything. Is it OBAMA??
Is this really going to be about how white or how black Obama is? Shouldn't this be about OUR COUNTRY's BEST INTEREST? It does not matter what color anyone is, it is their up bringing that determines who they are. Are we going to let race tell us who should be our candidate? I hope not.
We as Americans have to do the best for our country. We are in a lot of trouble here. Who can fix this mess Bush and his posey have let. We are headed for very bad times. Do your homework look into your candidates history read everything you can about them. Make an intelligent desision. Not one based one race or fancy speeches, or Al Sharpten and Jessie Jackson making threats to force thier will upon us.
Be an American and think for yourselves and do the very best you can. This is too important.
Listen I agree with you 89%, the other 11% well!!
Listen Oboma is 1/2 white let's be clear about that so yes he's considered an African American but technically he isn't. No matter what color your skin is you can not turn your back on one half of your ethnicity. Trust me my mom is White also and my father was African American and even though my Mom's mom & dad made my sister, father, and myself stay out side their house and created a past racist in me, it is impossible for me to hate people, or not look out for people who share the same skin color as my Mom on the basis of race preference or which race I identify with the most. Even though I grew up as an African American
North Dakota supported Obama in their primary and there are less than 1% African Americans in the state. I believe the people truly are wanting and deserving of a CHANGE and that is what Obama will bring with his leadership.
At least you're no secret: You wouldn't know decency if it bit you in the butt. I strongly suspect your real motive is that you think that if Obama wins, McCain will not be able to beat him.
Truly, you are ignorant. Before you attack the stupidity of others, consider your own.
In SC, where I live, there is a large percentage of African Americans—29% of the population. Most states have fewer African Americans than South Carolina, both in numbers and percentage. African Americans do not make up a majority of the population. They are not even the largest minority in many states. That honor goes to Hispanics.
You may wish that Obama will carry the day, but many of the states in which he won the primary are actually Republican states.
Obama is not ready and has alot more issues that the republicans will use against him that Hillary has held back on. The american people want change but when it comes to General election they will vote for Hillary if she is the Nominee or Mccain if Barrack Hussein Obama is the nominee! Wow, Saddam and Obama, with Muslim back ground. Just look at Wright and Faracaun! He doesnt look people in the eye's. He has won the republican states in the primaries but he cant win the big ticket democrat states. He will Lose!
that comment puts my teeth on edge! have you even listen to rev wrights speech in its entirety... obviously not, and i suggest you do! how can you even start to compare obama to HITLER?!! did you listen to obama's speech on race? he did not only mention african americans! anyway i realize that our nation has treated the native american very badly, but african americans make up the majority of the nations population and we continue to discriminate against them.
anyways... WE THE PEOPLE WILL ELECT BARACK OBAMA AS THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!
barack obama is this nations next president... all you folks who say they will vote for mccain in stead of obama... are you joking, vote for a man who wants to keep us in this war for ONE HUNDRED YEARS!!!! wake up america... obama is the strongest candidate of the three, which is why he is beating clinton, and soon beat mccain!
Our elected government offficials have no integrity. Everyday the news media is blasting someone in our government of cheating, lying, ethics violations, etc. Our elected officials in all areas of government should not throw stones at glass houses. Our nation has become judgemental,(and every right to do so)is there anyone in our government squeeky clean? Our elected officals are suppose to be leaders of a great nation, officals claim they are conserned about children and education, what are they learning from our elected officials besides, racism, lying, cheating, stealing, and that this is still a mans world! If Hillary were a man how would the nation be reacting to Obama? I doubt the majority of voters would elect Obama, but he is the only one still in the race for Democrat Party. Do you really want a president of the United States divided by religion that is shaded, and a president that seems to be against Causian Americans, although his speeches are not refelected as such. How for 20 years can he listen to criitizisum, and not be influenced by hatred? What was done to the African Americans were our ansetors, and government, but what did our government do to the Indians, nothing is every mention them in a debate, how they were treated, and our government still have Indians sepreated and land was taken from them! If everyone would look back in History human's were all affected differently, including the Jews! Remember Hitler? We as a nation need to quit focusing on only the African Americans, but everyone in these United States. We all have the same blood flowing within our bodies, make-up is the same except skin color, that is because when the earth was created God took the dirt of the earth, which we were formed, and if everyone would look at the dirt in areas throughout the world it is not the same color! Our nation has been divided for years by lack of intelligence on man's part. There will be wars upon wars in every nation, which includes poltics, race, reglion, education, jobs etc. We are suppose to be a democracy in which We The People are suppose to have a voice, but everyday our own government is lacking in Leadership, Morals, and Common Sense. Let the people be heard not only by our elected officals, but by the whole Human Race!! We elect our officals, but the delgates elect our Leader of the United States, and many are not capable of living up to the standards in which the American people belived at the time were worthy of their offices. Let us all pray and rethink of how We The People should hold our elected officials accountable for the moral, and ethical obligations of their offices, which includes President of the United States, and all forms of government.
I am a democrat also and unhappy that the party leaders are dictating her to step down. I never thought it would come to the point where I will have to vote for McCain.
I am a democrat also and unhappy that the party leaders are dictating her to step down. I never thought it would come to the point where I will have to vote for McCain.
Hillary stay in there. Every poll and every person I have talked to believes in you. Americas disapproval Of Bill is way over stated by those who have reasons to do so. Same is true with negitive reporting on your campaign.
I have been a democractic all my life but after seeing the way Hillary Clinton has been treated so badly I will never ever give ONE RED CENT TO THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. YOU TAKE YOUR GOOD OLD BOYS CLUB WITH THAT BARACK HUSSEIN AND HAVE A NICE DAY. i WOULD SAY SO MUCH MORE BUT i HAVE TO CONTROL MYSELF BECAUSE IF I WERE TO GET STARTED I WOULD GIVE YOU GOOD OLD BOYS A IDEA OF WHATS IN STORE FOR THIS ONCE GOOD PARTY I KNOW MANY PEOPLE FEEL THE SAME WAY...BUT YOU WILL FIND OUT IN NOVEMBER....
Hillary Clinton has a record of not being trustworthy. Obama and Clinton on the same ticket (no matter who is on top) would not work. Hillary has ruined that possibility with her smear campaign and dirty politics. I defer to Speaker Pelosi's comments on that subject. We do not want Hillary Clinton in the White house or leading this nation. She is not stable for the country or stable at all. What woman could be stable when her husband is continually cheating on her and always getting caught and (oh yeah) was the "President of the United States?" Come on folks, get a grip! She has burned far too many bridges to be objective. Not to mention her tirades and tantrums in public and in the White House (and during the debates). Hillary Clinton is mean spirited, vindictive, and not a good candidate to instill change in this nation's failing economy or handle the damage-control needed undo the Bush administration's good ole’ boy, back-slapping policy of nightmare politics! She would be challenged on every issue and would always be under the republican microscope. That is not what our nation needs.
I do not think his wins have come so much from Democrats as they have come from Republicans who do not like McCain. I would like to see all these Republicans go back to their own side when we vote in November. Perhaps they have a plan going...that would make the Republicans a sure winner. I say that because all you hear amongst the Democrats is..."if Hillary gets the nomination I am voting Rpublican"....and..."if Obama gets the nomination I am voting Republican".
This campaign has gone from snippy to downright nasty. I hate to even make a contribution anymore, but we all have to do what we can for our candidates.
Now Obama has a legitimate complaint regarding the access of his personal info regarding his passport. At last! He has denied all accusations coming his way. Has there ever been a "cleaner" man? One thing he cannot shy away from is his affiliation with his church. He says he does not stand by what his pastor has to say. So, why has he not changed churches? I say he is as full hearty in agreeing with what his pastor says, as the other people in that congregation. But shy away from it he has.
Is this the kind of man we want as our next president of the USA? I do not know how anyone in their right mind could vote for him, but, go ahead it is your right and we do not want to hear your complaints after the fact. We had that with George Bush and we are about to go through the same thing again.
HE IS A FRIEND OF THE MIDDLE EAST AND NOT IN A SHY WAY EITHER(NOT AS A PERSON WANTING PEACE BETWEEN THE USA AND THOSE AREAS)
All you white people getting out of breath about this man, where are your brains?
I just want Hilary to know that I am very disappointed that she has not come to North Carolina the way she has to other states. My husband and I have always said we would vote for her, but in the last month I just would like to know Why she is not coming here like she has in Texas, Ohio, etc. Bill Clinton came to Charlotte, but she didn't come and I understand we has no plans to. Please tell me why? We in North Carolina are as important as other states.
Hillary is running a smear campaign... just like a republican. Dirty politics like the "darkened photo", the "Obama is a Muslim", the "McCain and I have passed the test and he gave one speech", the Kenneth Starr statement, these have no place in the Democrat's playbook, you'd think she had Greaseball Rove for an adviser.
Isn't this what we want to get rid of? Wouldn't a clean government be what we're aiming for? Aren't we sick to death of slimy politicians? Hasn't the last 8 years taught us a lesson?
We need America to ride the high road for a change, and I don't see much difference between Hillary's tactics and the Republican's in '04'. This is even worse, because she's using them on a fellow democrat.
I'm an independent turned Democrat by Herr Bush. We have a chance to bring integrity back to Washington, too bad Hillary doesn't stand on that platform. We need a war president a lot less that a president that will keep us out of needless endless wars.
Regarding the experience factor, if being the spouse of a president gives you "experience", that means Laura should be sliding right into the White House, SHE'S got RECENT experience. Now there's a nightmare to ponder.
The super delegates will decide who our nominee is. Since they will make this decision, I think there should be a big push for both candidates on the same ticket whether it is Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton. She has carried the true blue Democratic states, he has carried more states but they have been red states. If you look at the total vote with Michigan and Florida included there is less than 25,000 votes separating the two at the moment. That will change by the end of today to some degree, because Wyoming caucus is currently being counted. It is clear to those who look at this objectively that our party is pretty much split 50/50 in who they support. It does not appear that the stripped delegate issue will be resolved anytime soon. This will go to the Convention floor.
Are you referring to the Peter Paul suit against the Clintons? Factcheck.org did a synopsis of this and it seems pretty weak on merit. But this is America and everyone is allowed their day in court, right? Wasn't it the Republican party who wanted to cut down on frivolous law suits? But I'm sure they'll play this one up.
they dont?? guess you havent been around for a while?? Hillary has won most of the big states and last time I looked she had the larger percentage of the democratic vote..
This country has shown just about unanimous support for Barack Obama. Currently (w/o superdelegates), Obama has a large lead and had a run of 12 states in a row. I think that if Clinton doesn't want to jump on the Obama train, she should just get out, because Democratic America doesn't want her.
I think, at this juncture, the best way for the Dems to win would be to have Clinton & Obama on the same ticket. It would be the smartest move. After all, running an Administration is a team task...and both of them could be either President or VP providing egos do not get in the way.

REDICULOUS
Submitted on October 21st, 2008 by AnonymousThis statement is Absolutley REDICULOUS! Maybe your the Racist!!
voters do not know anything in the democratic party
Submitted on May 12th, 2008 by Anonymousthe votes will not count only the superdelegates. After all this was set up to tip the election because the superdelegates know more than the voters.

Once again the only way the Democrats can lose is if they run Clinton or Obama
Democratic President
Submitted on May 3rd, 2008 by AnonymousI think the Republicans should be elected because if a Democrat gets in the White House, within 4 months, the spin from the press will put the blame of all the depression and war on the Democrats and the stupid sheep Americans will believe the spin just like they have for over 8 years. Don't put your faith in Americans. They just do what they are told.
president
Submitted on May 2nd, 2008 by AnonymousI don't think that any of the candidates promising that they can do anything matters because it is always up to congress and not really them. What we need in our country is a good example and morals for a president. I know that being in a another country and seeing our president on tv and he has done something bad is very embarrassing to America.I believe that obama is a better leader and example than clinton........

States
Submitted on May 1st, 2008 by AnonymousIf Al Gore had carried one of these small states that Obama has won Florida would not have mattered. How did Hiliary win Texas when Obama got more deligates? California and New York are going to vote democratic. Texas will vote Republican. My home state, Florida, will be a toss up.
Obama
Submitted on May 1st, 2008 by AnonymousI am a soon to be 64 year old Republican that has never voted for a Democrat for President. Look what a hell of a mess that have goten our country in.
what about the citizens' votes?
Submitted on May 1st, 2008 by AnonymousAs a citizen, the uper delegates have a responsibility to their constituants and not to themselves or their porking at our cost. Go ahead and send another republican to the white house for 8 more years....that is what this party is doing & the media is in it all the way. thank you.

Democratic Nominees and Truth
Submitted on April 30th, 2008 by AnonymousI am truly saddend by the way this democratic campaign has unfolded.

Submitted on April 23rd, 2008 by AVERAGE JOyou are thinking of the republican wives, hillary was always involved and has great plans, she wasnt the wife sipping tea she was the lady building plans for universal healthcare, and come on how can you knock that? she has always been involved in politics. she knows her away around the white house, and she is qualified.its really sad when we have trusted women forever to raise the kids, run the house and always keep the peace--couldnt we use that now, someone who can see a better way to communicate without war..war isnt good..peace is good. how about a war on world hunger theres a thought we have every other war, now thats a war worth fighting, bringing poeple together for a greater good.
i dont trust him either
Submitted on April 23rd, 2008 by AVERAGE JOi agree with you and im definitley not a racist. but i am leary of the little red flags that keep popping up with his ties to muslims, we would be stupid not to.i have heard him talk about change and hope and dreams, but what are they? what are his changes, hopes and dreams thats all great in lala land but we need someone with a plan. i think hillary has proven shes a tough cookie and i do trust her. i resent barack and his twisted words on not voting for the war, he keeps forgetting he didnt vote at all and wasnt in a posistion to vote!its like me saying i never voted for the war, no different--that annoys me and i consider it a lie when you present something falsly.i think hillary will fight to get our country back up where it belongs and put us first.she has alot to proove and she has to fight harder than anyone, because she is a woman and the repulicans hate her because she doesnt back down. she supports issues that really matter to american families, as a mom i feel safer, i now shes not a war monger and w/ 4 sons thats a big concern. i pray and hope we will all come together and do whats right for the better of this country and shes it. we need someone to care about the future and she does. im afraid and uncertain more than ever. im passionate about voting but i and most everyone i talk to says if barack gets in they wont vote for him because they dont trust him and they wont vote for mccain--very sad to say but i wont put my name for someone i dont trust which is barack and mccain. im afraid for the democrat party since so many feel this way.god bless america-i love this country and it breaks my heart to see us like this. god bless us all and keepus and our kids safe. thanks for letting me voice my thoughts!

race
Submitted on April 12th, 2008 by AnonymousYour opinion. Hillary is not any more qualified than Obama. Anyone who knows finance knows that Bill inherited the previous president's economy. His worst mistake (ignoring Osama) has cost this country almost 4,000 lives on 9/11, and over 4,000 in Iraq. No more chances on my part.
hillary
Submitted on April 12th, 2008 by AnonymousI agree, riding the coat tail of Bill doesn't make you qualified. McCain is looking better.
Not everyone
Submitted on April 11th, 2008 by AnonymousIt has nothing to do with his race. We just need some one who's going to produce some results. It would have been nice if Clinton and Abahlma were running mates.
The Truth is the TRUTH!!
Submitted on April 11th, 2008 by AnonymousI totally agree...

Why Hillary?
Submitted on April 10th, 2008 by AnonymousWhat real solutions has Hillary brought up?
Interesting
Submitted on April 9th, 2008 by AnonymousI have to agree with you and thought of that myself but didn't write about it because I couldn't find the words to write it. thank you for saying it for me. I know we are not the only ones that feel this way.
Wrong
Submitted on April 9th, 2008 by AnonymousWhat do you expect him to learn from the Washington experience? Or better yet, What has Hillary done with her experience? Day dreaming about how she wished to be a commander in chief does not make her so. I would have agreed with you if you were talking about Al or Bill. Having tea with the spouses of other leaders does not qualify anyone for anything.
Wrong
Submitted on April 9th, 2008 by AnonymousWhile there may be some bigots refusing to vote for him based on his race, I can assure you, many more people won't vote for him because he is not right for the job. Not yet anyhow.
Give him another 10-20 years of service and then maybe I'd consider him, but right now all he does is talk the talk. He gives pretty little speeches and people are just naive enough to fall for his poetic politics.
I know double talk when I see it. I don't trust him one bit--
Here's why
Submitted on April 9th, 2008 by AnonymousThe reason why people are jumping on the Obama bandwagaon is simple-- he gives a nice little speech.
The anti-Christ of Muslim decent?
Submitted on April 9th, 2008 by AnonymousI think the bible was written, and the anti-Christ mentioned long before Mohammad's founding of Islam. It is hate mongerering bigots like you that perpetuate hatred and distrust between religions and races. No one is of Muslim decent. It is their religious choice. You most definately have a different Book of Revelations than I do.
Same thing here
Submitted on April 8th, 2008 by AnonymousI live in Carpentersville, Illinois and I'm noticing the same sentiment among the yokels. I knew there were still a large number of racists in this country, but I've never seen them be this vocal. I've overheard several conversations all along the lines of, "I won't vote for no n-----", "I don't want that bitch to win, but better her than that n-----." It is sickening and makes me wish I never left San Francisco.
Clintons
Submitted on April 8th, 2008 by AnonymousThe people here are jumping ship from Dem to Rep because Obama is mixed race and they can not stand that someone of any color beside white will be in the white house. Of 100% that is the reason for 90% of them. Both Clintons have shown that they are liers from taxes to personal. Wake up! With that said I vote Rep but this year I might be jumping ship. Because Obama is the best person for the job;however, if clinton is there I will stay Rep.
Press
Submitted on April 8th, 2008 by AnonymousWhy is it that the press treats them both so differently?
I've never thought about
Submitted on April 8th, 2008 by AnonymousI've never thought about that before.
Jump ship and vote McCain
Submitted on April 8th, 2008 by AnonymousThat seems strange that you would call the Republicans "sick", but then get behind McCain should Hillary be defeated.
I find your logic confusing actually.
Obama won't be the racists, so you will vote for the white guy? Maybe it is you who is racist?
Hillary--0r McCain
Submitted on April 8th, 2008 by AnonymousI sure do agree with who ever said that this race is set up to give the White House back to the Republicans for another sick 4 years.
Interesting
Submitted on April 6th, 2008 by AnonymousIt's an amazing time to be alive in America.
Race?
Submitted on April 6th, 2008 by AnonymousIs this really going to be about how white or how black Obama is?
I agree with you 89%
Submitted on April 4th, 2008 by AnonymousListen I agree with you 89%, the other 11% well!!

Minority not an issue
Submitted on April 1st, 2008 by AnonymousNorth Dakota supported Obama in their primary and there are less than 1% African Americans in the state. I believe the people truly are wanting and deserving of a CHANGE and that is what Obama will bring with his leadership.
You are a sickie, buddy!
Submitted on April 1st, 2008 by AnonymousAt least you're no secret: You wouldn't know decency if it bit you in the butt. I strongly suspect your real motive is that you think that if Obama wins, McCain will not be able to beat him.
An African American Majority
Submitted on April 1st, 2008 by AnonymousTruly, you are ignorant.
Obama is full of Secrets and cant beat Mccain!
Submitted on March 31st, 2008 by AnonymousObama is not ready and has alot more issues that the republicans will use against him that Hillary has held back on. He will Lose!

oh my god-who knew america was this stupid
Submitted on March 29th, 2008 by Anonymousthat comment puts my teeth on edge! have you even listen to rev wrights speech in its entirety... obviously not, and i suggest you do! how can you even start to compare obama to HITLER?!! did you listen to obama's speech on race? he did not only mention african americans! anyway i realize that our nation has treated the native american very badly, but african americans make up the majority of the nations population and we continue to discriminate against them.
anyways... WE THE PEOPLE WILL ELECT BARACK OBAMA AS THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!
wake up!
Submitted on March 29th, 2008 by Anonymousbarack obama is this nations next president... all you folks who say they will vote for mccain in stead of obama... are you joking, vote for a man who wants to keep us in this war for ONE HUNDRED YEARS!!!! wake up america... obama is the strongest candidate of the three, which is why he is beating clinton, and soon beat mccain!
VOTE OBAMA
Integrity
Submitted on March 29th, 2008 by AnonymousOur elected government offficials have no integrity.

Obama/ Clinton or Clinton/Obama ticket ?
Submitted on March 27th, 2008 by AnonymousHillary Clinton has a record of not being trustworthy. That is not what our nation needs.
...party spilt 50/50
Submitted on March 21st, 2008 by AnonymousI do not think his wins have come so much from Democrats as they have come from Republicans who do not like McCain.
2008 Democratic campaign
Submitted on March 21st, 2008 by AnonymousThis campaign has gone from snippy to downright nasty.
North Carolina
Submitted on March 21st, 2008 by AnonymousI just want Hilary to know that I am very disappointed that she has not come to North Carolina the way she has to other states.
Look at it this way...
Submitted on March 10th, 2008 by AnonymousHillary is running a smear campaign... just like a republican.
It is up to the super delegates now...
Submitted on March 8th, 2008 by AnonymousThe super delegates will decide who our nominee is. This will go to the Convention floor.
the superdelegates will
Submitted on March 8th, 2008 by Anonymousthe superdelegates will decide in ANY case...
Probably because...
Submitted on March 7th, 2008 by AnonymousAre you referring to the Peter Paul suit against the Clintons? Factcheck.org did a synopsis of this and it seems pretty weak on merit. But this is America and everyone is allowed their day in court, right? Wasn't it the Republican party who wanted to cut down on frivolous law suits? But I'm sure they'll play this one up.
hmmmm
Submitted on March 6th, 2008 by sunshine308they dont?? guess you havent been around for a while?? Hillary has won most of the big states and last time I looked she had the larger percentage of the democratic vote..
Clinton needs to get on or get out.
Submitted on March 5th, 2008 by AnonymousThis country has shown just about unanimous support for Barack Obama. Currently (w/o superdelegates), Obama has a large lead and had a run of 12 states in a row. I think that if Clinton doesn't want to jump on the Obama train, she should just get out, because Democratic America doesn't want her.
Obama/ Clinton or Clinton/Obama ticket ?
Submitted on March 5th, 2008 by MercyphotographyI think, at this juncture, the best way for the Dems to win would be to have Clinton & Obama on the same ticket. It would be the smartest move. After all, running an Administration is a team task...and both of them could be either President or VP providing egos do not get in the way.
