see that's the thing, it differs for everybody. But if you know that regardless of your pick, one of three things is going to happen (let's say a solid high-five is the third possibility) and once your first choice (high-five for me) is gone, you're allowed to pick one of the remaining two, why not do what you can to pick the more tolerable outcome?
ps. i think this metaphor is running its course :)
I have never heard of people being so disappointed in the candidates put before us...I am so upset with the way things are falling into place that a part of me has considered not voting, but what good would that do? It seems like we will be damned if we do and damned if we don't, might as well attempt to make our voices count and hope we survive the next 4 years!
what's the alternative? not voting at all? or voting for someone w/ no chance of winning? I'd rather vote for the LesserEvil to try and make the best of a poor situation.
Put another way, I liken it to choosing to be punched in the face rather than kicked in the crotch. Both aren't fun, but one is considerably more unpleasant.
