I must say thank you very much, CNN. you brought us (Chinese all over the world)together, the strength of this unity will overcome any obstacles. All Chinese need to see this power, and believe this power is what we need to make China strong and stronger
although my English is poor, I can say a little bit, can 5% of you can type Chinese? Of course not.
You do not know about our culture, our history, how dare you can point out we do thing right or not.
We do not have gun, our students have no chance to shoot their classmates in campus.
So, if CNN or USA want to say our chinese government right or wrong, plese first care about you own business!!
The western media didnot tell the trueness! Dalai Lama is a devil, who killed the innocent civilians in Tebet, burned their houses and robbed their properties!
You can't enter Beijing or any larger Chinese cities unless you have your papers please. Then you work 12 hours a day, six days a week and most often you do not get paid, just scammed and told to stuff it.
At least rich tourist can buy organs from poor Chinese murdered by the State commies. What a sick twisted society these modern Chinese are.
Confucious say, "mind is like parachute, if not open, destined for hard fall".
if i say most of chinese know we mustnt trust in all what cctv say, because we r conscious they dont tell always the truth
just one question to u, how many of you think you r also risky to be a brainwashed???
why dont you understand we can also find the truth by our own methods??all informations circulated in china;just officially;we cant find them in newspaper
one more time;i'm not sent by gov;im not paid and im not secret agent;lol
make money by holding olypmic to save the poor? save yourself, man!!! we are not that short of money!!!
at least, many chinese can read and write in english, but few of you guys can read chinese. you think you know the truth and you can throw these things on our faces? no!! that's because you are living in your dream!!! It's hard to accept that tibetans don't need your help and chinese people are happy with there life, right? yeah, things are opposite to what your media have told you!! who is fooled? it's you guys!!! you haven't been to china, you can't read chinese, you have no choice but to believe those lies your newspaper tell you!!!you pathetic mono-lingual american!!! try to learn something different next time!!!
I'm one of those Americans who understands that economic freedom often enables political freedom.
On that end, Tibet today is much, much better than it was under the monks rule. I think Tibet ought to remain a part of China in much the same way I feel California ought to remain a part of the U.S. (You guys actually have more of a historical claim to it going back to the Tang Dynasty.) Taiwan might be a longer debate, but it's worth having.
Furthermore, I understand that the Chinese Olympics will bring in lots of money and that will help save lives of poor Chinese people.
That said, I believe the Chinese government is very, very corrupt. I know that it violates human rights to an extent that Americans would feel uncomfortable. I am uncomfortable dealing with an autocratic state that jails political dissidents.
I hope one day we can celebrate an Olympics where Chinese people can freely demonstrate in the streets, but until then, I'm for the next best thing.

that's your choice!!!you american made your choice to declear this war against 1.3 billion chinese!!Hope you will not regret for what you are doing today!!!!
How American invade Iraq under so-called Democracy flag.
Do you guys know Tibet is a part of China from 2000 years ago?
Do those Democratic American know Tibet was under Helotism about fifty years ago, and Dalai Lama is the representative of Helotism. That is why he push the Independence of Tibet. He can get almost all of what he wants if Helotism recovered in Tibet.
I am one of normal Chinese Citizen. Welcome to China in 2008 and get a closer and comprehensive view in Tibet. You could find a lot of difference with what you and most of Western media imagined or described.
In fact if the Chinese Communists had really been racially motivated, they could have deliberately and cynically left Tibet's Ancient Regime in place.
Traditional Tibet's theocracy imposed a policy of "er xuan yi" (from two choose one) and "san xuan ER" (from three choose two) on the Tibetan people. They dragooned enormous numbers of hapless Tibetan boys into the priesthood , where they would remain celibate for life. This draconian policy resulted in an alarming decline in Tibet's population in recent centuries.
Adherence to a religious practice of strict celibacy led to the eventual extinction of the Shaker sect in America. Chinese Communist Party failure to intervene in China's Tibetan region would have, by default, abetted a similar process of Tibetan self-extinction. CCP intervention has instead led to a population increase. Beijing emerges an unlikely hero in this respect. Yet Beijing is ritually and reflexively accused by self-styled do-gooders of "genocide," both "cultural" and racial. Ironies abound.
Why not blacks establish a new contry from American? You are a diffent race, you need a country belongs to you. So, Let's get a revolution, for freedom, and for democracy.
you gotta be kidding, right? Do you CNN need me to remind you that the NYPD crash Tibetan Protestors in front of UN and NY China Consulate?
Did you ever visit youtube? Did you see the command? What YOUR people say about Free-tibet? Terrorists! Same as Bin latin! China-tibet relationship is far more complicated than you can understand. So please stop criticise China and mind your own business. Didn't Hillary, Obama and McCain give you enough topics?
Yes, not because of repression but because China is a communist country that has sworn to destroy the United States. They should receive no support from us, nor any money from our government or our citizens. When you go to the store, find an alternative to "made in China."
For their environmental policies and human rights violations - we should definitely take time to make an issue. However, should the athletes who have trained for years be penalized by not being able to compete? I don't think so.
I could recite 25 or 30 reasons why we have no business in China and every one a valid reason but everyone knows them all already.
How are we ever going to get strait wlth China if we keep catering to them at every opening to do so we jump at the chance.
We'll wake one morning to hear sirens(if we're unlucky enough, the lucky ones wont hear them) and find all the copper, iron and other material sold to China and paid for with cheap toys or poisen food of questionable danger to our kids or Everyone, coming home by way of satilite controled bombardment.
All of this from the Nation we supplied for years(decades) trade with defecit getting larger each year until we went BANKRUPT.
