"But is the pharmacist

"But is the pharmacist acting on his or her own beliefs or the companies?"

That's a tricky question. If a pharmacist refuses to sell BC pills and the company fires him, does he have a grievance? My immediate thought is no, because that company has a right to establish its own policies. To me that's a different issue from the state compelling a pharmacist to sell them. I think there's a difference between what your boss tells you to do and what the state tells you to do.

And Suzie may have a grievance, but as long as she can buy her drugs elsewhere, her right to buy BC pills is not being denied. IMHO

I have no argument with women using contraceptives, by the way.
