Let's ignore that Japan has a unique cultural quirk of "saving/losing face", and chose to bow out gracefully after having 2 atomic bombs dropped on them.

Let's ignore that China mobilized 200k troops to sit at the Korean penninsula border to "deter" any further advance of American and allied troops northward.

If people tend to ignore the cultural nuances of the foreign and domestic enemies we are fighting in the 21st Century, then we will continue to delude ourselves into thinking Bush, McCain, and anonymous posters are leading our precious nation in the right direction. . .
