Why is it that the left's main planks are to kill the innocents by abortion, but we’ll call it “choice”, but they want to save the guilty by calling the death penalty "cruel and unusual"? It’s merely a name game with them, to avoid the facts. Here’s a classic example, and I challenge any abortion rights to put a positive spin on this saying: “Be a hero, save a whale, save a baby go to jail”. Unfortunately in our sick world it’s true, but how can any rational human being justify it?! Just change what it's called, sure, I feel better, don't you. Whale good, baby bad! You should be ashamed and you would if you hadn’t seared your conscience by living like you do.

The justification of capital punishment is that it IS a deterrent, if nothing else it's definitely a deterrent for re-offending! Here is a stat’ for you: No convicted and executed murderer has ever re-committed that crime! And killing again by released murderers is very high.

When I was a kid there was a guy sent to prison for killing and dismembering a gal, but of course we were too sensitive to end his life, so a few years later we let him out, after all he said he was rehabilitated. Well it wasn't even a week before another dismembered woman's body parts were found. Gee, how odd the last person she was seen with was this butcher that should have paid with his life the first time. Which side of the argument do you suppose she would be on? Get real, releasing these people back into society isn't how you assuage your guilt, and that’s really what it’s all about, asking the Lord Jesus to forgive your sin is the only way to get that monkey off your back.
