Barack Obama's beer choices are getting an approving nod from McClatchy:

Sen. Barack Obama made a last-minute, surprise appearance at a downtown bar this afternoon, ordering a Pabst Blue Ribbon (beer of the working man) and spending half an hour greeting voters. “Everyone voted?” he hollered, walking up Martin Street as he headed into the Raleigh Times bar about 5:30 p.m.

Everybody who has ever worked for a magazine or a newspaper knows the oldest gimmick in the world to get people talking about you: Make a list. But now there's a new wrinkle: Stephen Colbert.

Gentlemen, please. Last month, it was "bromances." Here, under protest, we have "mantuaries" and man caves. What kind of lameness is this?

Only one problem, it seems that all of the opponents were:

Foreigners. Yep. Despite the fact that plenty of Democratic politicians and U.S. experts opposed the war, the news networks almost completely shut off domestic sources of criticism.
