I've come to realize that nobody loves the opening weekend of an anti-war film more than the pro-war right. Why? Because they know the movie will bomb -- an unfortunate term -- which lets them spin theories about how the "silent majority" really wants a pro-war message to go with its popcorn.

This ignores a couple of things:

It's Rambo. The pronouncement isn't my personal judgment -- chances are, I won't be seeing Rambo until Steve Jobs gets his hands on it, and perhaps not even then -- but that of Anthony Sacramone at First Things. Had I found Sacramone's post sooner, I would have linked to it yesterday.
