Why Statistics Can't Be Trusted

I am often skeptical of "statistics", because they are often skewed. It infuriates me, when someone uses skewed statistics to make a point. If they know that the statistics that they are using are misleading, and still use them to back up their argument, they are not speaking "in good faith".

Former Mayor Guiliani's speech at the RNC was something to be watched, in addition to  Palin's.  It was strong, dynamic, and quite funny.  But...

I lived in Illinois before Barak Obama received the gift of an effectively unopposed Senatorial campaign.  (Anyone who counts the carpetbagging Alan Keyes as competition is being silly).  I continued to live in Illinois after B.O. packed his Gucci luggage to head to Washington DC.

Round One:

John looked good and did very well. I was impressed with Barack; he looked rested and confident but I really think the first round of the general election goes to McCain. Of course if he couldn’t win this one he might as well pack it up and go home. He was in a room full of white evangelicals predisposed to vote for him. He was decisive and knowledgeable about what was going on in the world to include the subtle political nuances of Russia and the free countries that once constituted the Republic.
