 I'm watching the Democratic Convention. Need help with something, cause I'm not a woman. They had the US Senate Democrat women on stage, grooving while that song "Sister are doing it for themselves" was playing. Senators.Grooving.Doing it for themselves.  "Doing it for themselves?" What are they, children?

At the moment, it seems like both parties are going through a bit of soul-searching as different elements of their respective bases jockey for position.

What does it say about the parties that the Republicans seem to be struggling with religion and governing philosophy (particularly with regard to immigration and taxes) while the Democrats seem to be struggling with race and to a lesser extent, sex?

So, John Edwards promised (2 days before the Iowa caucus that was thought to be a must-win for him) to get all U.S. troops out of Iraq in 10 months (no one else has promised any better than one year!). Link below.
