Joe Wilson must have missed the party, no cake.

Haven't hear this story on morning news shows either. Maybe Ike has apoint.

Church and State United under Obama

Obama quote:

"In time, I came to see faith as being both a personal commitment to Christ and a commitment to my community; that while I could sit in church and pray all I want, I wouldn't be fulfilling God's will unless I went out and did the Lord's work,"

More equal than others

Excerpt from the editorial page...

"Obama had pledged earlier that he would "aggressively pursue" an agreement with McCain to accept public financing. His decision last week to eschew public financing can't be seen as anything other than a broken promise."

If President Bush did this, you would hear how he lied, worst Pres in history, we may never recover, but Obama gets an Oops!

It is interesting how his policies seem Socialistic, but when it comes to his campaign he doesn't support:

1. A windfall tax on excess campaign contributions

Fortune tellers

It has always amazed me how accurate fortune tellers (for a nomial fee) can be. Many of the predictions I received in my younger years have become true. I did have a dark-haired girl-friend, I have travelled in my lifetime, I have changed jobs and I have lost someone close to me.

Geezer Bashers

Relax, John McCain will not veto beer, but it brings up a question. Does the recent gaffe (and previous) get different treatment in the media than mistatements from Senator Obama?

Let's do the math

SHOW ME THE MONEY

Aren't there approximately 310 million Americans? Isn't the budget to fund the Federal Government at  $3.1 trillion? Let's do the math.

310,000,000 / 3,100,000,000,000 = $10,000 per American

McCaskillfull Obama commercial

Senator Claire McCaskill of Missuori showed me what she's made of on MSNBC this morning. There are a few points she brought up that have me questioning leadership in general.

"George Bush has run this economy into the ditch..." This seems a like a good 'gotcha' talking point, but  has  problems.

1.President Bush is not an omnipotent force controlling the economy. Even if the President had the ability to "run" the economy, he/she shouldn't as it would contradict the concepts on which this country is established.

Messiah Marketing

Although, presumptive of the presumptive nominee to declare victory, he has some political wisdom. In his Messiah Marketing program he has done a few things, I believe, deliberate and smart.

mailboxes, signs, railroads

The continuing political debate revolving around what direction to take the country is important. Foreign policy, health care, the economy (place favorite issue here).... For all the problems, changees and fixes proposed by politicians,  we have already accomplished a great deal in our country.
