Not so Subtle Differences

This past Tuesday I was listening to a local radio show where a Republican Congress member stated, he did not believe a deal was close regarding the economic bail-out package.  Being very concerned, I tuned to a national radio show and guest Republican Senator Lindsay Graham (South Carolina) stated not only they were not close, but additionally he and other Republican Senators had received thousands of calls / emails from constituents stating not to approve the package and the deal needed to be amended. This all occured on Tuesday mind you.

and the hits just keep on coming

According to the Chicago Sun Times 8/25/08, Barack Obama's political mentor and often referred to as Senator Obama's political godfather, Emil Jones reportedly called Delmarie Cobb an "Uncle Tom" for supporting a white candidate (Hillary Clinton).  Evidently the phrase "Uncle Tom" is a negative slang expression used to describe a black individual that gets too close or endears a white individual too much (in the perception of the name caller of course).

Every four years around this time, I make this amazing transformation and become an expert at Olympic Gymnastics.  Always rooting for USA Gymnastic Athletes and sour graping at every score that seems too high for another country or too low for the USA.

This Has Gotten Ridiculous

 

Ok some time has passed since Senator McCain and Senator Obama have wrapped up the primaries for their designated parties.  US Citizens are inundated daily with one Camp stating the other Camp is playing unfair or making false accusations about each candidate.  

Democratic Presidential Candidates and Credibility Issues

 

Very early, but nationwide polling between Clinton / McCain and Obama / McCain is virtually a dead heat. With the unpopular war (not that any war is popular, please support our troops), slumping economy and unsettled immigration issues, one would imagine either democratic candidate or any democtratic candidate would be leading the nationwide polling by at least 10 points or more at this stage.
