Another thing about Clinton ...
Posted 42 weeks 5 hours ago byIf she wins the presidency, I don't believe she'll get a second term. Four more years of "Billary" will probably be enough for everyone. Hopefully by then, the conservatives will get their act together and nominate someone with a consistent and substantial record.
McCain, Where is Your Honor?
Posted 42 weeks 5 hours ago byBack in 2000, the Bush campaign spread some nasty rumors about McCain in South Carolina. McCain, who had been ahead, lost that primary, and Bush went on to win the nomination. McCain was widely known to be bitterly angry about the dirty tricks that cost him the nomination.
So ... in 2008, what happened? Florida was too-close-to-call between McCain and Romney, his closest rival. And McCain falsely accused Romney of wanting to cut and run from Iraq. Basically, he resorted to the same kind of dirty trick that he had objected to in 2000.
Huckabee the Spoiler
Posted 42 weeks 5 hours ago byA year or so ago, when K-Lo at NRO started going on about Romney, I emailed her that Romney would never be the president, because there was no way that the Southern Evangelicals would support him. I think it's worse than that - I think the only reason that Evangelical Huckabee is still in the race is keep Mormon Romney from getting the nomination. How sad for all of us.
About me ...
Posted 42 weeks 6 hours ago byMy political leanings are socially conservative and politically and economically libertarian. What that means is that I believe in tradition and right and wrong, but people are free to make what I would consider to be foolish choices - they just shouldn't expect me to protect them from the consequences.
I'm a law librarian. I have a JD and an MLS. I like books and ideas and follow politics pretty closely.
