Net Neutrality and what it means for the consumer
Posted 26 weeks 3 days ago byI'm no expert...at anything. Keep that in mind while you read this post.
I am, however, an open-eyed consumer. I try to be mindful when making a serious purchase. My Internet connection is a serious purchase as it plays a large role in my professional and personal life.
Net Neutrality is big businesses way of turning a greater profit without changing the business practice. Remember the 90's when Coca-Cola reduced the amount of soda that was put into each can, but kept the price exactly the same? Think along those lines.

How vulnerable is the internet?
Posted 27 weeks 3 days ago byYouTube was blocked for several hours in many countries around the world on Sunday. No it wasn't a glitch in their system, nor did it have anything to do with the U.S.. In fact, it was a tiny little country in the Middle East thats probably hiding Bin Laden.
The Pakistani government required a telecommunications company based out of Pakistan to block YouTube from internet users within their own country because it contains anti-Islamic material. Actually, they didn't block the site; they simply sent it to a "black hole."
The preservation of biodiversity
Posted 27 weeks 3 days ago byNorway has finally opened its door of the "Doomsday Vault" to the public. Actually its a doomsday seed vault. Supposedly resistant to any kind of major disaster, manmade or otherwise, this vault is 425 feet deep in an arctic mountain just 1,000 miles shy of the North Pole.
This project cost the Global Crop Diversity Trust (a U.N. machine) $9.1 Million dollars (US) and took almost a year to build.

Cloverfield and 9/11 in the same page?! How about Rocky Balboa and the Taiwanese Parliament?
Posted 33 weeks 1 day ago byJust a few day's ago, I posted a brief complimentary commentary on J.J. Abrams and his approach to marketing. The Cloverfield movie is highly anticipated for any movie buff out there, and maybe even the skeptics who are picky about thier films, but grew up watching monster movies.
The movie promises great special effects, carnage and mayhem. All the right ingredients to make a high grossing film with low critical acclaim.
The Mona Lisa Exposed!
Posted 33 weeks 5 days ago byDan Brown has capitalized on the supposed conspiracy theories surrounding DaVinci's famous work's of art including The Last Supper and The Mona Lisa (also known as La Gioconda-The Happy Woman in Italian). It's been said that DaVinci's trickery knew no ends and that even vast sums of money could not hold his morbid-prankster ways back. When commissioned to create a portrait for a church or a wealthy household, the genius himself would supposedly throw in subtle symbols here and there that only the “enlightened” would notice.
The New God Of Marketing
Posted 34 weeks 3 days ago byJ.J. Abrams, I tip my hat to you.
Your genius has possibly created the most anticipated event in recent film history...even if the movie is nothing more than another Godzilla remake.
