"Killer Coke"? Oh, Stop It!

Today I attended this event on Coca-Cola entitled Oxtoby v. Pomona Round 1. (Curiously, Pomona College President David Oxtoby could not make it, but the members of Pomona's Responsible Coalition Endowment have informed me that they shall be giving a recorded discussion.)

Jail Jimmy Carter: Why the President Has Violated the Law

President Bush’s critics are quick to point out that the President is not above the law. It’s President George Bush, not King George.

Although they often misapply their position to matters that are actually presidential, the critics are nonetheless right, especially after a President is voted out or retires from public service.

Jimmy Carter, one of our most feckless presidents, is just an ordinary citizen. He isn’t a member of any branch of the government.

Is Chinese Traditional Medicine Bunk? You Bet!

Pitzer College is a nutty leftwing private school in Claremont, CA. Its one of the few places where a former terrorist can be invited to teach young people and you can even take classes on YouTube.

If that month long celebration seems excessive, it is because it is.

Did Cesar Chavez Hate Immigrants?

Note: In California, Cesar Chavez Day is a state-wide holiday. I really don't get why.

My friend soon to be my roommate from India has thankfully moved me from the camp that believes in fortifying America against illegal immigrants. I now believe that immigration reform includes more immigrants, not fewer, and that as long as they don't get a welfare state -- and that's a big if -- that provides cradle-to-grave care, they have no beef with me.
