     As I've blogged before, the "October surprise" will not come from the respective political campaigns, but rather from the Israeli Air Force, and probably BEFORE October.

      Why I continue to believe there is any ethics left in the mainstream media is beyond me.

     The Poll released yesterday by Newsweek to the news outlets showing Obama with a 15 point lead over McCain is nothing less than outrageous.   Do even Obama supporters believe this poll?  Of course not.  But instead of  pulling back on the news release because of an obvious flawed sample,  Newsweek decided they wanted to be prom queen instead.  This is unethical.  This is dangerous.

1.) " I voted for public financing of my campaign before I voted against it."

2.)  Muslims wearing head scarfs need not apply.  Are we in France?

3.)  Countrywide Mortgage.  Friends of  " Angelo" should all apply.

4.)  Adopt the Naomi Campbell strategy when wife or campaign is criticized.

5.)  Nationalize the refining of American oil.

6.)  Don't drill for American oil.

Make no mistake, the timing of Israel's announcement of SECRET talks with Syria for the last three years is no coincidence. The news release was meant as much for American consumption as it was for Israel itself.  Israel is trying to influence the American election, and may even succeed if the American news media will pull it's head out of its collective ass and start providing accurate analysis.

This country needs to redirect its constitutional energies. Instead of wringing our hands over the institution of marrige because homosexuals want white picket fences, we need to focus on the institution that poses the real threat to the joint tax return:  The U.S. congress.

Like a Druid during the equinox, Senator Obama, like all Democratic Presidential contenders before him, has made the pilgrimage to drink from The Holy Grail of the New Deal: Social Security.

The Obama campaigns biggest headache is coming not from the President's speech in the Knesset, but rather from the same-sex marrige decision echoing from the halls of the California Supreme Court.

The ruling will now all but force a constitutional amendment referendum on the California ballot come this November election.  This bodes ill for Obama.  The same issue killed John Kerry's Presidential hopes by 50,000 votes in the state of Ohio in 2004.

For many years now the various farm bills coming out of congress have been a national disgrace.  This years bill, however, reeks especially foul considering the inflationary pressures this country is facing, not the least of which is the rising price of food.  Commodity prices spiked immediately following the veto-proof vote that now sends the bill to the desk of the President.

The United States communicated with the Nazis all during WWII through back channels in Switzerland, Vichy France, the carribean, and South America---we even traded with them.  There were some nefarious reasons for these overtures including greed and treason, but for the most part the conduct was in the intrest of hastening an end to a war that killed sixty million people.

The time has come to drown inflation in a bathtub.

The way to do this is to stop talking about a strong dollar policy and start enacting one. Considering leadership in Washington on this matter is a fool's errand, the Federal Reserve and "Gentle Ben" need to grow a pair and hold the line on interest rates.
