Conservatives take German Election: Social Democrats Bounced
Posted 19 weeks 1 day ago byAngela Merkel, German Chancellor and leader of the conservative Christian Democratic Union (CDU) has won enough votes in a German election "Bundestagswahl" to form a centre-right government along with business oriented Free Democrats (FDP). This is her second win, but in 2005 CDU had to rule with the Social Democrats as their 'partners'. The work will by no means be easy since Germany has been in a pretty deep recession, and the three minority parties can surely be a pain in the arse, but it is at least hopeful. It will be interesting to observe the British elections next Spring to see if they follow suit, as they are somewhat expected to.
Looking ahead to Fall 2010 elections, Rasmussen shows some interesting numbers, in addition to the fact that Obama is back down to -10 today. Let's hope we get to those elections in one piece.
Fifty-one percent (51%) of voters believe Congress is too liberal while 22% hold the opposite view and say it is too conservative. Only 14% say the ideological balance of Congress is about right.
Forty-two percent (42%) say a group of people randomly selected from the phone book would do a better job than the current Congress, but the same number (42%) disagree.
Two-out-of-three American voters (67%) also lack confidence that Congress knows what it’s doing when it comes to the economy.
Anyway, congratulations Angela!

My opinion
Submitted on September 28th, 2009 by rom12921"Are those conservatives in Germany supported by a bunch of religion so called people like they are in the United States?" Conservatives in the United States typically want a constitutional government. Conservative does not necessarily mean religious. To be consistent, conservative people must accept everyone's religious speech (First Amend) whether they have beliefs in Krishna, global-warming, God, Allah or UFO's.
"Are there hate talk radio and tv shows in Germany that are supported..." I don't know, but calling someone who disagrees with you as "hate talk" is a generalization meant to undermine the person, not address the argument. Until people can communicate on ideas, we're left with polarizing name-calling.
"I could very well be a conservative, if they the conservatives in the United State believe in the human race." False accusation. Conservatives believe the country and countrymen are best served by a limited government. This is another "hate" argument with absolutely no basis.
"My opinion and no one elses." Thank you for writing this. I respectfully disagree and given my opinion as well.
On top of what I said

Cut him up, that is what people are putting out.
Again I will ask
Submitted on September 28th, 2009 by ajamoAre the conservatives in Germany the same as the conservatives in the United States?
Are those conservatives in Germany supported by a bunch of religion so called people like they are in the United States?
Are there hate talk radio and tv shows in Germany that are supported and love the way thes people carry on?
I could very well be a conservative, if they the conservatives in the United State believe in the human race.
My opinion and no one elses.
