I wanted to share with you what happened.He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand, he blew them off and didn’t say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service.So really he was just here to make a showing for the Americans back home that he is their candidate for President. The Pentagon today said that, while political and campaign activity at military installations is restricted, it welcomes all nonpolitical visits by U.S. senators and did not barr an Obama visit.
"The senator's staff was informed of the limits on what the military can do with respect to a political campaign and how we could support a senator's visit to Landstuhl, and quite frankly I expected them to have the visit," Whitman said.
Chief Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell confirmed to Politico that Department of Defense officials cautioned Barack Obama's campaign that his planned visit to wounded American troops in Germany could not be political in nature and that he would be barred from bringing along campaign staff and reporters. He also said that Cindy McCain recently requested to visit sailors aboard the U.S.N.S. Comfort and was denied.
"Sen. Obama is welcome to visit Landstuhl or any military hospital in his official capacity as a United States senator," Morrell said in a brief interview. "But there is a DOD policy which governs campaigning and electioneering at military facilities that would have to be respected if he were to visit. That distinction was relayed and made clear to campaign, and they made a decision on their own based on that guidance."
Morrell, in a subsequent interview, added that military officials told Obama he could only visit the military facility with his Secret Service detail and Senate staff.
It is really pretty simple what happened. Obama wanted to visit the wounded troops, but once he found out that his beloved media circus could not accompany him he said never mind. That in itself should tell anyone what Obama really thinks about American troops.

This is a good example of propaganda or misinformation.A recent editorial suggests that Barrach Hussein Obama was told by the American Govt.not to visit the American wounded in Germany. The truth is the only guideline he was given was the trip to see our wounded would not be political in nature. So Barrach seized on this opportunity to thumb his nose at our black and white wounded warriors to make it seem like he was the aggrieved party.His sensibilities seem to have been wounded.

The Truth about Obama not seeing Troops

According to the offical memo from the Pentagon which they gave out, Obama could not bring his campaign staff with him to see the troops.
As a senator, he is extremely welcome and it is standard business of leaders of the country to visit wounded troops.
Obama on the other hand, decided that he would rather have Europeans kissing his arse and chanting up with Obama and down with America.
Thus Obama actions were an insult to the wounded men and women of our military. All Obama had to do was take a meer 30 minutes to an hour out of his trip to visit the Americans who fought and bled for this great country without his support and campaign staff. Obama spent little more than an hour working out and then spent another hour getting himself groomed up for the outdoor photo ops with the French president.
Obama just showed once again how he dislikes the Military and how much disrespect he has for the American people and America in general.
Because to insult the US military's wounded is an afront to every family with military connection.

From what I heard, they did not want the Senator to visit the troops because it was not his place to do so, then again, the media is so screwed up who knows the truth to anything. I find it disgusting that if that was not the case, and he did go see the troops and blew them off, it is just one more reason why he should rot in hell where he belongs.

After all, Obama is pushing to make the US constitution subject to the world court system and to the demands of treaties.
