OBAMA BELIEVES IRAQ'S TIMETABLE DEMAND TO GET TROOPS OUT IS AN ENORMOUS OPPORTUNITY... MY QUESTION IS FOR WHO?
Posted 13 weeks 9 hours ago byWell now I understand why Obama would like to end the war in Iraq.HE believes Iraq's timetable demand is an enormous opportunity.Sure it is.For his Presidency if you ask me.I believe his new plan would be to get our troops out of Iraq and instead of sending home where they belong, he would like to redeploy them to Afghanistan or Pakistan where he believes ALL the Al Q's are hiding and planning their attacks. And here I was under the impression that Obama was just going to send our troops home and our hard earned dollars would not be spent overseas and we could start concentrating on our own economy that is falling apart because we have been spending it all in other countries. Hell no... What was I thinking... this is about continuing war just somewhere else. SOS if you ask me.
Here is the article in full. What is your take on this?

SO HOW ABOUT THIS..
Submitted on July 15th, 2008 by Skye RiversIF this is a war on terror in Iraq, then why are they saying that Al Q's are in Afghanistan and why have we not concentrated that area?

What are we doing invading entire countries ?
Profiteering for some ? War mongering the life force for other's ?
Or can we now come to terms that there is some kind of evil we need to worry about working within our country more dangerous than what we face from the outside.
premature pull out
Submitted on July 15th, 2008 by REEDDARRELLYou know it's absolutely amazing how quickly we could deploy to iraq, but will take what a couple of years to pull out? B.S. With the ability this country has of airlifting everything into and out of a bad situation I don't believe it is not possible to remove our forces in a matter of weeks, instead of months,or years. Is this not why our military budget is so large. Is this not why our leaders brag on how mobile our Army,Navy,Marines, and Air Force really are.SO GET IT IN GEAR AND MOVE OUT.
I would bet
Submitted on July 14th, 2008 by John 2000that you could pull half the troops out by October and another good chunk by January, leaving about a standard contingency of 10,000 until some agreed upon general target date and Iraq would be fine ... maybe not 100% of what was wanted, but that will never be the case.
Yes some new troops will be going to Afghanistan soon and probably growing to finally get some control over Pakistan border area. Am I too cynical to say the poppies do not thrive well under Taliban? Sorry about that.
Anyway, I would hate to see the draft recreated under these circumstances.
Where is Osama?
Too Much Anon?
Submitted on July 14th, 2008 by Skye RiversI don't think so. I work better with truth. If you are going to plan to take out the troops, state that and give a time frame. What Obama wants to do is remove them in a timely manner and disperse them into Afghanistan and Pakistan and also start up the draft. You aware of that my friend?
you excpect too much
Submitted on July 14th, 2008 by AnonymousI agree with Obama. We dont need to be in Iraq at all, but we cant just pull all the troops out in one day. It's going to time, it's going to take man power, and it's going to take money. Like he said, "we have to be as carefull getting out of Iraq as we were careless getting in", and you know how careless we were.
