Ruled out making heavy crude available at discount in order to bring prices down. Saudi Arabia: Investing $129B to remain "pre-eminent supplier" of world's petroleum. The above is what I found to be interesting in promoting the above story. Without getting into much detail and paraphrasing, I thought I would give you the meat and bones to chew on and see where the gas chips fall. Below is the link to this story.

IRAQ TO THE RESCUE...
Submitted on July 2nd, 2008 by Skye Riversyes Jan.. they sure are. Here they come to save the day. Not only as you say are they going to gas the US up with oil (achem)... but, the Iraqi's are going to be spending billions on tanks, guns, all the cool things one needs to fight a terrorist...and spend ALL THAT MONEY to give back to US. NOW isn't that dandy? AND WHO phrased the term payback was not a bitch?
We go to war to exterminate Osama and friends, and because the big mean killing machine gee wait, I keep hearing Obama H... word when I really mean ummm, o yea, that would be mass murderer.. o wait, Obama H... no no I mean... that Insane, ooops... I meant Sudamn Insane.. whew.. didn't want to confuse the two now.
So we go to war, spend billions of US dollars in Iraq because that is where all the terrorist hide.. (and here I thought the world was such a big place.. who would have thought there was no other places available for these terrorist... Hell, maybe I should make my next blog or book, The Best Places To Hide If You Are a Terrorist. I am sure I can come up with some real doozies.)
What a gift... the Iraqi's out of the kindess of their hearts want to give back because YES THEY CAN...
Unbelievable! Yes, Iraq to the rescue. Now Bushy won't have to get up at 3AM when the PHONE IS NOT RINGING and tell Lady Bush he will be back in an hour as he leaves for the Federal Reserve Building through the back door to print out more money for his little war.

IRAQ TO THE RESCUE
Submitted on July 2nd, 2008 by janmbIraq is preparing to allow four of the biggest western oil companies to renew exploitation of the country's vast reserves for the first time in almost four decades. Iraq's oil ministry stepped up talks with BP, Exxon Mobil, Shell and Total after the US vice-president, Dick Cheney, visited Iraq in March, where he also pressed the government to revive efforts to pass the hydrocarbon law that nationalist MPs were blocking. The first contracts are expected to be signed this month. Some 90% of Iraq's budget comes from oil revenues.
are they laughing at us
Submitted on July 1st, 2008 by koolmom21I would like to know why the men behind him are snickering. They could hardly compose themselves.
I wonder are they laughing at us because we expect a discount while the rest of the world are paying more or is it much more devious then this?
Hey Lady Skye, welcome back!
Submitted on July 1st, 2008 by HamiltonThis article just reinforces that very visible fact that we need to drill now, every where there is a possibility of oil in our country. I keep hearing that tired old verbiage that even if we start today we won’t have any oil in the pipeline for five years. Let me see if I can follow that reasoning in more mundane thinking.
My daughter comes to me and says, Dad I want to get my Bachelors degree so I will have a better opportunity to get a better job, make more money and be able to take care of my family. But since I can’t finish my degree this semester…well just forget it I’m not even going to try. I’m not going to college because the investment in my future just takes too long.
I know a little dramatic, but to me it’s just common sense; we have more un-tapped oil reserves than any country in the traditional hate America OPEC.
