ONE LAST HOPE
Submitted on June 15th, 2008 by AnonymousMAYBE
McCain will get VP with a brain who knows we cannot stay in IRAQ any longer and will have influence.
Obama will get a VP who has some experience and because of that will be able to take charge.
Then we MIGHT just have a choice and this country a chance.
the nation does not have a choice
Submitted on June 15th, 2008 by koolmom21Your plan and others to link President Bush and Sen. McCain names will not work. Most people know that these two men are not alike on many issues. At this time the nation does not have a choice unless you want a black theology member as Commander in Chief. Sen. Obama will ruin our country and make us weak in the eyes of the world. People who want change just for the sake of change need to do their homework and stop listing to all the propaganda.

Any War is a good war, as long as they, do not have too risk their lives.
They say well I have family over there. Or I'm helping out in other ways. All it boils down too is they do not have the balls too put their candy asses on the line.

Submitted on June 14th, 2008 by LibertyWe haven't any way of knowing that now do we? I'm the first person to say hindsight is 20/20 concerning Iraq. I just think in all of the frustration, it isn't fair to lay the entirety of blame on the Bush administration. At the time this was certain...*Saddam stood defiantly in the face of UN inspectors..*the majority felt the risk of WMD being in Saddam's hands outweighed UN support....We hear this negative disrespectful blame all the time, over and over,.. The truth is George W. Bush was damned if he did, damned if he didn't, he was destined to fail after 9/11...I do not agree with all decisions made by Bush, namely I disagree vehemently with his threat to veto the companion to Lott-Lautenburg Amtrak(more thoughts to follow on that)...I just think it is time to let go of this tired, old subject. We will never know what might have happened if different decisions had been made. It is what it is, a war supported by the majority at the time.
Judging from your ability

Submitted on June 14th, 2008 by Skye RiversCalm down... we honor the fact you fought in the Iraq war... we are not discounting your experience or service to our country. There are just many Americans who feel that this war was a war that was not necessary, and unfortunately for our service men and women, you all have been caught in the middle. We have a President who has run our country into the ground, have sent many innocent men and women into a situation in Iraq that was unnecessary and at your expense and our economy is at it's all time low. It is a very scary time for many Americans. Can you explain to me the reason for this blog now that I know you have served? I seem to be missing something.
I have a feeling Liberty, even if everyone vetoed this bill for war, Bush would have found a way to get there. He wanted this war for his own reasons and nothing more. As far as Oboma is concerned, he is the man with many faces and can't be trusted. He will say and do whatever he needs to to get in office.

Here’s’ an idea!
Submitted on June 14th, 2008 by HamiltonGrow up; you articles are just plain juvenile. How do you know we have not served in the War? How do you know we don’t have family on their third and fourth tour in Iraq? How do you know we don’t have family that has paid the ultimate prices to be an American? You are a sniveling, juvenile coward. Your hate for America and our services men and women makes me sick. You are a traitor and I’ll not dishonor my fallen family by reading or responding to anything you say or write.

Beat a dead horse all you want...
Submitted on June 14th, 2008 by LibertyOn October 11 2002 the House voted 296-133, the Senate 77-23 to authorize the use of force in Iraq. Those figures prove at least 373 other members of our elected government supported the war.
Yes I know that is a repeated fact, but apparently it was overlooked...it means at the time roughly 73% of the government 'we the people' elected to represent us in Washington agreed with Bush.
So why keep saying Bush this and Bush that?..Democrats and Republicans both had a chance at the time to say, Mr. President I don't support this war!...We are there, face it..As for the military, the last time I checked the draft hadn't been reinstated. I have the utmost respect for men and women in service. But it is a choice they make to serve. There is no quick fix to Iraq. We will be there as a force of so called diplomacy for decades. So if electing someone on the basis of saying I'll bring our troops home is your thought process. You might want to ask yourself if his 'words are going to be backed by action' We have nearly 700 military bases around the world in 130 countries. McCain is not my first choice by far, but at least he seems realistic. Obama seems to have brainwashed his supporters...hope and faith, belief and change...gimme a break
