TOPIC OF THE DAY ** FIRST RBA DEBATE UNDER ONE UNIFIED BLOG ** HISTORIC EVENT - CLINTON'S WITHDRAWAL SPEECH -
Posted 13 weeks 2 days ago byToday is a sad day for Clinton supporters; today is a sad day for me. Today is the day Hiilary Clinton concedes to Barack Obama. A day I saw coming, a day I am trying in my heart to accept. I thought the RBA community might try something different. Instead of trying to follow numerous blogs today on the subject of Clinton's speech to back up Obama and so forth, I thought we might all gather as ONE and unify our "thoughts" and shared comments under one blog post. The question in everyone's mind is what will she do next? She has over 18 million supporters, numerous delegates, a very supportive staff - and like you, I am anxiously waiting to hear what she is going to say. What is she after? How can she help support Obama and what role will Bill play in all of this if any?
This is a very emotional day for many, and as I have shared, not since Lady Diana's funeral has there been such an our pour. I have this vision of the Democratic Party hog tying Clinton, encircling her in a tribal sort of way with poking spears ensuring she says the right thing. Call me pesemistic, but truly, she will say all the right things today, but I feel her pain and can't help wondering if the Democratic Party has hand written her speech and force fed it to her. Here we are. It's an experiment. The speech is less than an hour. I look forward to debating this issue.
Respectively. Skye Rivers

Submitted on June 13th, 2008 by AnonymousJohn... that was really disturbing... and I AM NOT voting for Mickey Mouse... just like a politician, looks good, sounds good, but is really up to no good - yes, get out the rat poison indeed! AND that Minnie Mouse is a little whore. Who knew LOL........
But would the Paris thing be problematic ? Other issues?

"I am telling you that the Mickey Mouse of 2007 is NOT the
Mickey Mouse created by Walt Disney. The current Mickey Mouse has sold his soul to satan for money. While he still wants to be seen as the friend of the family, the fact is he has no conscience and will do whatever it takes to add a few cents to the bottom line of the Disney balance sheets. While we used to think of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, it won’t be long before we see Mickey Mouse with Mark Mouse!!!"
Looks like we'll really have to redraw the old red/blue map. What are the 'swing' states? Are they married or not?

Submitted on June 13th, 2008 by TreeTopFlyerSkye, that got 5 stars (of 5) on my groaner scale...I love it.
John, great site. It would be great if a significant percentage voted that way. I am sending to everyone I know.
All ears! I love it.

That below thought was way off the top and brilliant.... Absolutely and why not Mickey for President... atleast we would have someone in office who was ALL EARS..
Get behind Mickey for real ?

And this is Mickey freed from corporate Disney bondage.
He has had much more experience than all of the other candidates combined and learned many foreign policy lessons the hard way, as the following suggests :

As you see, he was much feared by Hitler and is generally loathed by Communists.
Apparently, even Hamas try to use their false puphet image of Mickey in a awkward slap at the power of true Mickey:

Maybe this year we should change from redblueamerica to grayamerica.
Any third party candidates anyone likes. The only names I have heard are Nader, Barr and Baldwin.
Or do I just write in Mickey Mouse...
Hillary as V P?
Submitted on June 9th, 2008 by AnonymousThe only reason Hillary, would even consider VP, is because she doesn't think Obama can win, or she thinks he's going to get shot. And she's already made allusions to the latter.
Food for thought..
I AGREE WITH YOU
Submitted on June 8th, 2008 by Skye RiversTHOUGH, I AM NOT bitter........ I am just disgusted and have thrown up my hands at the entire situation. Voting this year??? Hummmmmmmm I don't think so. I really don't. Actually, NO.. I am not voting. I don't support Obama, and I don't support McCain. Just because Obama is a DEM does not mean I should support him. I can't stomach the man and his smug elitist attitude. McCain turns my stomach as well. I am not a mad angry woman, I am have become rather disillusioned with the DEM's and the system at hand.
SAD FOR OUR COUNTRY
Submitted on June 8th, 2008 by janmbThe *Hillary-nobrainer-HATERS* in the MEDIA ( like Arianna Huffington) has it figured out that by November the voters who are ticked-off will come-around and support Obama. But we are not Hillary's supporters not her puppets and even if she says to all 18 million of us aren't going to support Obama.
The portion of Hillary's speech about WOMEN in government was powerful and I hope the 30% of white women who supported Obama were listening although if they didn't get it BEFORE they'll most likely never will get it.
If the democrats lose to McCain--it will be fine with me--- right now---all I want is REVENGE towards all those in the democratic party that stayed silent while Hillary was being INSULTED day after day. I'm bitter and unless she's on the ticket--I shall stay that way.
Sour grapes, i know, but the
Submitted on June 8th, 2008 by wishnevskySour grapes, i know, but the next president will have a hard row to hoe. Somehow they have to get out of Iraq without a bloodbath, convert the USA to a post-oil economy, make some accommodations to climate change, cope with either triumphalist or resentful African Americans, and get the average Right Wing Whacko to gracefully cope with the fact that "We are Number One" no longer.
All this is not counting Immigration, aging work force, Islamists, Chinese, Indians, Brazilians, Eu'ers, and the evolution of the cyber intelligences.
(Never worried about that? Start worrying.)
And then, on Tuesday...
OBAMA VOTE
Submitted on June 7th, 2008 by REEDDARRELLSKYE AND JOHN AS FAR AS VOTING FOR OBAMA,FORGET IT.I COULD NOT SUPPORT OBAMA DURING THE PRIMARIES AND THERE IS NO WAY I CAN SUPPORT HIM NOW.SO THE QUESTION IS WHO TO VOTE FOR? I CAN'T SUPPORT JOHN McCAIN BECAUSE OF HIS STANCE ON IRAQ,BUT MOSTLY BECAUSE OF HIS BOOT LICKING BUSH AFTER BUSHES CAMPAIGN DRUG HIM THRU THE S--T.SO THAT LEAVES ONLY ONE POSSIBLE WAY TO VOTE,AND IT IS TO WRITE IN SEN.HILLARY CLINTON'S NAME.THE DNC WILL NO LONGER HAVE MY SUPPORT AFTER THE WAY THEY HANDLED FLORIDA AND MICHIGAN VOTES FOR THE GOOD OF THE PARTY.
Old guy is
Submitted on June 7th, 2008 by John 2000a one termer at best. I don't know that anyone who gets in with this current mess will be more than one term ... unless we are talking martial law kind of stuff ...
god, I sound so bleak.
HEH
Submitted on June 7th, 2008 by Skye RiversIt will be very interesting what happens. McCain could win if Obama does not put Hillary on the ticket. If McCain wins, it will be another 8 years unless the old guy croaks.
I was just going thru Hillary blog
Submitted on June 7th, 2008 by John 2000Not too many say they would ever vote for Obama. Pretty overwhelming.
Not to worry Skye.....
Submitted on June 7th, 2008 by MercyphotographyHillary will be on the ticket, otherwise McCain will win and she will run again in 2012.
Feel better.
Cheers!
Yes Indeed
Submitted on June 7th, 2008 by Skye RiversNothing was put to rest. A lot of hoopla and praise. Was she setting herself up for position of VP? It sounded like that to me. She is not going to just get on her horse and ride off with Bill into the NY sunset quietly. Something is brewing... and John is right... at this point...
I am really tired of all this Democratic drama.
I agree anonymous ...

Clinton speech
Submitted on June 7th, 2008 by AnonymousDon't count her out so fast.....she is suspending her campaign..retaining her delegates....
Michelle Robinson Obama..remember her? She will probably be her husband's undoing as the Republicans unearth her thesis as well as other bits and pieces that make more for a racist not post racist campaign that the DNC will totally go into a tizzy over.
Next up...Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Ahhhh Rhett........
