Only In America
Posted 19 weeks 4 days ago byOnly in America could we even think of following an inept, inexperienced, arrogant President such as George W. Bush with another inexperienced, arrogant, unknown with shady friends and, also possibly inept President such as Barrack Obama. Eight years ago many Americans thought "how did we allow this Bush boob to get this far, knowing full well that he wasn't presidential material?".
Today, many Americans are wondering the same thing about Obama. He has got the nomination in his grasp by only speaking about change. No specifics, no new ideas and only a message of"yes we can". Wouldn't we rather hear some details and "yes we will"?
We're getting rid of a President with a big hat but no cattle, and possibly following him with a guy that's all blow and no show! Time is running out for the democrats to wake up and stop this historical blunder.
I have never voted for a republican for president since I voted the first time for JFK. (Yup, I even voted for Jimmy Carter's second term). But, if Obama is the nominee it's either McBush or a write-in for me.

I'm not defending McCain
Submitted on May 23rd, 2008 by PreboomerMy comment is that you'll not catch me defending McCain's policies, but I do think this country would be better off with him as our president rather than Obama.
McCain means four more years of Bush. Obama has a lot of the same problems as Bush (inexperience, no foriegn policy, arrogance and shady friends). So he would probably be four more years of Bush also.
So bottom line is, I'll take the known patriot over the unknown Obama. I would rather have neither.
A bit flawed...
Submitted on May 22nd, 2008 by IronguyLet me ask you this. When you defend McCain by saying he is not Bush. Then why won't you except the argument that Reverend write and Obama's relatives are not Obama.
What did your number 4 response mean? your not being clear. Are you saying Bush won the 2000 popular vote elections? He didn't, It's even in my history book pall that was handed to me by my public school. He wont the electoral vote, not the popular. I feel that is a mistake to vote against the people. Hence why I feel that is one of the reasons why we now have a democratic majority in congress.
Also, what did you mean by number 5? your not using full sentences so a lot is lost in translation. Do you mean that I will vote my party no matter what? Well, as long as my party continues to believe and uphold the ideals that I uphold, I guess I will vote for my party then. Obama didn't cause 9/11 like a few people seem to make it out to be. That's just crack pot thinking.
EDIT!!!!!!
John McCain now has his own rev. write. Your thoughts?
We are getting rid of Bush
Submitted on May 22nd, 2008 by John 2000We are getting rid of Bush are we?
1) Bush is not running
2) McCain is not Bush or McBush (so cute)
3) Constitutional term limit is getting rid of Bush
4) You need to watch HBO movie this weekend (re: 2000 election) where you can re-vote and cry - sure to be a great pep rally for all with such a great voting record
5) Vote your party no matter what you think
ANOTHER ERA OF ERRORS
Submitted on May 22nd, 2008 by janmbIncredible that Obama is going to be elected because of his "fine" speeches only. How can we allow Obama be president when he openly approves and refuses to denounce his own family and his own brothers who are in open revolt in Kenya and are doing the most vile and most discusting things all in the name of extreme radical Islamic ideals of Shariah Law. And for those who are curious, Luo tribe is Sunni muslim!
Obama's continued links to racists, Terrorist, Murders, and now connections to genocide and to a world known Terroristic group Hamas.
Let everyone beware of the wolf in sheeps clothing called Obama who is not what he claims and I am more than sure that Obama is not a true christian but a Muslim in disguise

Submitted on May 21st, 2008 by IronguyAre you overlooking?
Submitted on May 21st, 2008 by AnonymousYour explaination of why you like Obama is interesting. However, you leave out something.
Your exploration of Obama makes no mention of how you explain away all the long list of negatives. You have only mentioned dislike of other candidates.
I would be willing to take a second and third look at Obama if someone would explain away 20 years with Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, Louis Fahrakkan(Sp), bittergate arrogance, Michelle finally liking America, his Kenya connection, his inexperience, and only generalalities about his plans for change.
I invite you to comment on how you overlooked these things. If only a fraction of the rumors are true, we have troubles if he is elected.
I think you need to look beyond the fluff.
Did you bother to look first?
Submitted on May 21st, 2008 by IronguyI'm sorry, but it sounds like you didn't do what I did. I went out of my way to look at the stances each candidate took. The seconed I heard about Hillary was running for president I flocked to her side quick. Just because her husband was president as well too. I didn't look at what the GOP had to offer nor did I consider the other democrats. That's the wrong way to go about this.
I started looking at her site, Obama's then I looked at Edwards. I listened to some of the GOP's guy's as well like Ron Paul. Now after I did my looking, I decided to make a choice. I liked John Edwards the best out of all of them. He was THE man for the job in my eyes. I feel he really did have the ability to lead the nation.
Sadly, he dropped out. So I revisted Hillary and Obama. I looked at what they said, what they done, and how they feel about things. I picked Obama, because he seemed like the man for the job. He has the right mind set, and enough experience to do the job.
Do yourself a favor and look at what he is willing to do for you and the nation. No joke, read them.
