Obama's Same-sex Nightmare.
Posted 16 weeks 4 hours ago byThe Obama campaigns biggest headache is coming not from the President's speech in the Knesset, but rather from the same-sex marrige decision echoing from the halls of the California Supreme Court.
The ruling will now all but force a constitutional amendment referendum on the California ballot come this November election. This bodes ill for Obama. The same issue killed John Kerry's Presidential hopes by 50,000 votes in the state of Ohio in 2004.
Politics makes strange bedfellows. (pun intended) A strange coalition may develop linking Bakersfield conservatives, Hillary Clinton-security minded-white women supporters, and Latinos, thus making McCain quasi-viable in California.
McCain probably won't win the state, but he will force Obama to defend it. This might drain much needed attention that must be paid to the industrial-midwest where Obama is already facing cultural challenges. Obama may try to sharpen his oratory on the issue saying this is another "wedge" issue used by Republicans to divide and scare voters.
Rubbish.
This issue, dating back to 2004, was wholly and singularly created by activist courts largely appointed by Democrats. They have themselves to blame for the counter-punching now being done by Republicans. Conservatives over the years were more than willing to let Federalism prevail and let more liberal-leaning states pass their own marrige laws through their respective state legislatures. Laws supporting gay marrige are not unconstitutional. Laws banning gay marrige are not unconstitutional. Let the states decide, without judges ruling by fiat.
Obama can't hide on this one. This is the former editor of the Harvard Law Review and University of Chicago Law School "instructor". He must explain how "equal protection" applies to an issue that has no precedent. Even his fawning media acolytes can't avoid nailing him down on a position.
At least I hope so.

Thoughts
The MEDIA supressed much
Submitted on May 18th, 2008 by janmbThe MEDIA supressed much about Obama's dark side (pardon the pun) and those like Keith Olberman--Chris Matthews actually made remarks that were definately anti-Hillary and very macho.
Larry Sinclair has filed a federal suit against Barack Obama and others for harassment since the gay man released his video on YouTube alleging that the Senator from Illinois and Sinclair shared gay sex and cocaine in the back of a limo in Gurnee, IL in 1999.
We won't see anything on CNN or MSNBC about this. I personally think there are a lot of people afraid of rioting if Obama doesn't win.
Hillary would likely carry
Submitted on May 17th, 2008 by John 2000Hillary would likely carry CA easily even with the marriage question in play.
I, unlike people in their right mind, don't see it at all as a foregone conclusion for Mr O, even without the issue.
There are stories bubbling behind the scenes regarding his own sexual encounters of the same sex kind with strong innuendo of murder. I will leave it at that.
