RED BLUE AMERICA SITE and THE RBA COMMUNITY OF BLOGGERS AND VIEWERS
Posted 21 weeks 6 days ago byTO ALL SITE BLOGGERS AND VIEWERS
As part of the RBA community, and with your help, I would like to continue to maintain the integrity of Ben and Joels efforts and keep this site going. I would greatly appreciate any comments or fresh ideas you may have in on this subject. I have noticed that more and more people are coming back on, and even though this has changed form, I believe it can be rebuilt back up into a great place for ANYONE to blog on; not just a chosen few of which you then get the chance to comment back to.
Awaiting to hear back from you...

KEEP EM COMING AND I
Submitted on May 15th, 2008 by Skye Riverswill update all in the next few days when I get more concrete... thank you!
Suggestions
Submitted on May 15th, 2008 by Minuteman CAPablo is right. The one thing lacking now is a little direction.
I'm pretty new to the site, but it seems that a general topic of the day could be a nice start towards regaining some focus. Another suggestion is to use links on the home page to some of the more controversial topics, such as gay marriage, the presidential nominees, immigration, and global warming.
Also, I think that the editing options available for posting blogs might be lacking. Presentation is everything.
THANKS

Well maybe if there was more
Submitted on May 15th, 2008 by wishnevskyWell maybe if there was more than one "sort of left" person on the blog?
You know, i'm a goldwater repub hippie who has been left behind by all these Christian crazies, and now i'm supposed to be the entire left on this blog?
I don't think so.
I was going to log off, but it looks like i won't have to. I think you will log off from me. But i will wait until something happens. This was a good idea, but the trolls got you.
I guess ben and jerry or whoever stopped getting paid, and you, Skye are the "bosun tight and the midship mite and the crew of the captain's gig." If that is not too classical a reference for you.
I was not too happy when you pretended to start a "conversation" on global warming and then liked to all that crazy denial stuff. But stet.
So carry on. But like i said, i have no need to even talk to people who think evolution is an important topic.
Been there, done that, in high school.
And like a friend of mine used to say; "I love you like a Christian brother, but sometimes you're a real butt.
and am i the only one honest enough to use his real name on this blog?
SCRIPPS HOWARD NEWS SERVICE COMMUNICATIONS
Submitted on May 15th, 2008 by Skye RiversI am in contact with Peter Copeland, the editor of Scripps Howard News Service. Scripps is the company that started redblue. He would like to keep this site going and that is why I am asking the RBA community for feedback as I would like to see how we can move forward.
agreed
Submitted on May 15th, 2008 by John 2000I mentioned some of this (especially #5 Pablo item) to Klos last week.
His brief reply led me to guess we shouldn't hold our breath on this, being pretty much out of his hands.
I'm not clear even who to contact.
But, go for it Skye, see what you can find out.
POINT TAKEN
Submitted on May 15th, 2008 by Skye RiversPablo, I love reading your thoughts. So well thought out. I am going to pass your thought along and see if these issues can be handled. Thank you.
many of the navigation buttons missing
Submitted on May 15th, 2008 by PabloThe one thing I noticed right away is that the main menu and navigation buttons are gone.
This makes it extremely hard to navigate the site and honestly makes the site less appealing and less user friendly.
This site also needs:
1. FAQ section.
2. Feature blogger of the Month
3. Full time Personality to direct discussions and to keep some kind of example as to what kind of site this will be.
4. A petition section for those who want to promote a real worthy cause.
5. Lastly, I liked the little section which showed the top five blogs which was most read, emailed and discussed.
Its always nice to know where the people who use this site as to topics and trends. Some topics are so hot that special debates and special question answer sessions can be promoted with real government leaders to address these items directly.
But that is what I am seeing.
