A more solid win...
Posted 21 weeks 4 days ago byWell, no doubt you heard about Obama's new advocate. The swab looking man as always, John Edwards. He gave a great speech telling everyone how he is now offering some support.
I like how he gave Hillary her due as well. Some would say, don't count her out just yet, but with 25 delegates left, its hard not to. With John Edwards backing Obama, it may give the man just the nudge needed to clear the 25 needed from KY. If I'm not mistaken, Hillary needs to shutout Obama in the next 3 states. All of which have around 55 delegates. She needes only 133 delegates but this seems a bit of a large number to clear out when comapaired to 25.
I think this may turn out bad though is some respects. Becauce of the endorsement Obama got from Edwards, I'm affraide it may turn us away from the "Dream Ticket" of Obama and Hillary and call for a "Silver ticket" of Obama and Edwards. Some would say that the "Dream Ticket" is really a "death pill" that must be avoided. Just imagine Hillary trying to set Obama on fire and then turning around and saying "He's our guy for the job!" just seems a bit off. Somehow though, I feel America will over look this and come to terms with the fact that it's all politcs.
Personally I would have voted for either Obama or Hillary, both are well within my views. It's only the trimmings that I have to worry about. With gas as high as it is, I feel Obama seems more well equiped to deal with that issue. He knows that the gas tax is just a lable that says "fixed" when we all really know its still broken. However, putting issues like that aside for now, I feel Obama is making the right choice for his strategy to take the white house. He's now focused on the primaries, in his mind the general elections are already over. With all due respect, its not. As things are now though, I can't blame him for refocusing on the bigger picture. The presidency, not the nomination for presidency.
I predict that John McCain will try and distance him self from Bush Jr. as much as possible, while Obama will make it clear they are the one and the same. I feel Obama won't have much of a problem of taking the popularity rating of George Bush and taping it on McCain's back with a note on the side saying "Kick Me" like children tend to do. What I am really woundering is if he would even do this though. Obama said to Hillary that the kid gloves are comming off when Hillary was really nailing him with attack ads back in PA. Well, when the kid gloves came off, I only saw hands of a pacifist raised up asking nicely to stop with the attacks. Some would argue that he did run attack ads. However though, even if he did, could you really compair them to the one's Hillary used? Personally he could have cut A LOT deeper if he felt like it. Raise your hands if your recall what Bill did during the last few years of his office. I sure do, and I'm shocked he didn't use that agaisnt her. Granted it was him who did it and not her, but it still makes her look bad. When one is mud slinging, that is all that matters.
After watching what happened in PA, Obama is gonna have a hard time running a campaign and resisting the urge of running attack ads of compairing Bush and McCain. I for one have confidence that Obama will win the primaries as this is the year for the Democrats, but like I said before, some would argue that point.
On a side note, what happened to the site? I come hear all the time reading the thought and what not but never really offered any. I noticed this a few days back, is the site shutting down or being redone?

Not "dadly blow" from my vew, but Edwards, simce!
Submitted on May 15th, 2008 by AnonymousI hope she wins primaries to go,
I encouraged her for quite a time.
Simce from Edwards view - deadly blow,
Hillary ruines herself to save USA in a "low".
Hillary must debate McCain, from view of mine.
I was born strong, but sickened - as Russians do.
They busting my exersises - holding me imobile too.

Yes, the site did change about a week ago when the moderators, Ben and Joel, were unfortunately let loose. This was bad news, but they have kept the site available.
It is good to see things from your perspective. I am pretty sure you are wrong about the math numbers, but it is looking like that will be beside the point. I don't think SDs should decide before June 3, and heck, that is only a couple of weeks away now.
Ironguy? You lift weights?
