Obama: Clean your own yard, first!
Posted 17 weeks 1 day ago byThey say 'all politics are local.' B. Obama (BO) wants to change the political culture in Washington. He doesn't really tell how he'll change things except leaves us with the perception he means corruption (whose is the question?). Mark Hemingway posted today about <a href="http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=YmRjZGI4YmVhNmZhMTMwYTM3MjQ5OTMxMzY0NTZjOWQ=" target="_blank">the Chicago Way</a>. Here in the Upper Midwest we know Illinoisite politics and Chicagon's in particular are a disgrace. BO is very arrogant to talk of the corruption in our nation's Capital when his adopted home-State is far worse.
<blockquote>"Why is Obama allowed to campaign as a reformer, virtually unchallenged by the media, though he's a product of Chicago politics and has never condemned the wholesale political corruption in his home town the way he condemns those darn Washington lobbyists." - John Kass in <i><a href="http://weblogs.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/blog/2008/05/obama_unstained_by_chicago_way.html" target="_blank">the Chicago Tribune</a></i></blockquote>
Don't be misled that only us hinderlander thinks bad of our largest city. It is widely known. Around 1970, the first elected President of late, Republic of Viet Nam (south) was criticized by the modern liberals in America for his being insulted that he nation would need to accept poll watchers on the up-coming second presidential election. This Vietnamese President replied, "next year I will send poll watchers to Chicago!" BO clean up your own yard first before attempting to clean up any other cesspools.

in a blog I wrote a couple of days ago in conjunction with a good local view of Chicago and Mr Obama, and Chicago's long rich history of corruption.
It does seem to be removed from all current mainstream discussions.
