Muslim, Wright and other issues a camoflage?
Posted 16 weeks 5 days ago byI've been reading through replies on the "Is Obama a Secret Muslim" and, there are a couple of things that come to mind after you read a few. First, It causes me to wonder if all these diversions have actually served to allow Obama to continue his campaign without talking real issues, where he is weak.
Obama's only talking points are his talking points. He is not a great politican, or even a great leader. His voting record and experience reveals that. He is a great orator and inspirational speaker, like Lew Holtz for example. As long as he's allowed to give "poor me" speeches, and "let's have a change in this country" speeches, he doesn't have to talk specifics, or back up his record on the real issues of the day.
If we somehow could drop the Muslim and Wright issues and demand that Obama address the specifics of his proposals, the true Obama would be exposed. He's weak on experience, and his voting record compared to Clinton or McCain is sparse and weak. If he's nominated, the republicans won't need to talk about Wright, etc.,...... just show us the beef!
Second, it's surprising to me that so many actually believe he was born a Muslim, therefore he'll always be a Muslim. I agree with the person that said Obama is, in fact, either a Christian or a Muslim, and that we should peel away the verbage and find out which he really is before we elect him President.

No one can be born a Christian

great orator ?
Submitted on May 3rd, 2008 by John 2000He completely lacks the passion and emoting power required of a 'great' orator. He lacks the punch to hit home his points with powerful images, coherent dynamism, and inescapable argument, whether or not one accepts or denies the argument. A great orator provides transcendent moments and touches the soul with a sense of revelation.
Nay, I say that Mr Obama falls far short of these qualities. Indeed, I challenge you to cite any real example of such qualities in his addresses or speeches or whatever you want to call them. Oh, he strikes the lofty pose as he stares off unfocused into the distance. And yes, he references others who had some true force of power, as if those wings might lift him, but no he is marginally better than a second rate speaker, let alone Great Orator. Mr Wright is by far a better orator. Robert Byrd in his day could orate beautifully, even if you totally disagreed with him. MLK and JFK could orate, oh yes they could.
What? "Just Words?" "Change?" "Yes, We Can?" "I could no more throw blah blah ..". Spare me.
I can see your point on the smokescreen notion, but I also see him in a smoke-filled ship afire without a mask. And still I see no passion or urgency. I see a tired man wandering, hoping that numbers are everything. I see a failed candidate that may yet get the nomination of his Par'ty.
Thing is, the option ain't much better.
