Dick Morris on Fox News Not Fair and Balanced
Posted 12 weeks 18 hours ago byI switch channels every time Dick Morris is a guest on Fox News. He obviously hates the Clintons, which is OK, but if Fox News was really "fair and balanced", they would tell their audience why such a hatred when they introduce him. They would tells us why Morris would rather see Bin Laden as our next President than Hillary Clinton, and he will say anything to take her down.
They should introduce Morris as a former advisor to President Clinton, who was fired, or asked to resign, for improper conduct. I'm not going to write about Morris' downfall here because I don't remember the exact details. But, Fox News does know the details, and owes it to their viewers to, at least allude to the fact that there was an unfriendly parting of ways.

Thoughts
Dick Morris
Submitted on July 20th, 2008 by AnonymousWhat is defined as improper conduct in the Clinton administration? I didn't think there was any such thing.

Submitted on May 7th, 2008 by PabloWhere is your outrage then for CNN using Michael Moore to attack anything and anyone Republican?
Michael Moore is the most moronic or dumbest person on earth to be given not 1,2 or even 3 or 4 hour spots to his sewer comments. But has been given since July of 2007 9 hour spots worth of political commentaries with three within the last 10 days.
Just spent 1 hour with Larry King where 95% was bashing the Republicans and promoting the democratic party. Spent an Hour with Nancy the week before that as a guest commentator and spent 1 hour today in the CNN coverage of NC and Indiana though CNN did not let him chime in very often.
At least Morris has some political background and has worked in the political arena for a living.
Though I do not like Morris, I hate Michael more with a passion. Its like watching a male version of Rosie O and the sheer idiocies they spew out of their mouths.
You make my point.
Submitted on May 5th, 2008 by PreboomerAll I have said all along is that Dick Morris has some deep personal ill feelings toward the Clintons because of reprocusions from unsavory actions of his own doing, and he should be introduced by Fox in a manner that reflects that.
Most political pundants express their views based on political backgrounds, polls and some objective intelligent thinking. Morris bases his statements, not on issues and policies, but hatred for the Clintons.
I would feel the same if someone posing as a political opinion contributer attacked Obama or McCain because of personal issues.
Dick Morris
Submitted on May 4th, 2008 by AnonymousDick Morris has more personal experience with the Clintons' than anyone else. He has seen first hand the methods of Bill and Hillary
to destroy their opponents by using lies and subtrafuge. As far as the Clinton's are concerned their advisors greatest sin envolves providing insight into their corrupt organization. And theirs being kicked out of the White House for Bill's impeachable lies.
true or false
Submitted on May 2nd, 2008 by PabloMorris worse than Michael Moore?
Nuff said on this topic. Moore is way way worse than Morris ever hoped to be.
Michael Moore is a regular on CNN as a guest political commentator.
Just finished with Larry King a few days ago, was with Nancy last week and is scheduled to be on the Live Desk next week in a Q&A after Tuesdays elections.
There happens to be always on one new channel some extreme person or another. Each news organization picks the extremist which fits the personnel or ideals of that news organization.
Thus Morris fits more with FOX and Michael Moore fits more with CNN.
Now this is a dead topic.
twisted question
Submitted on May 2nd, 2008 by John 2000Preboomer -
I do think the net effect of Morris assists Clinton. (could be wrong, of course)
Consider this ironic set:
1) Longtime friend/associate/pastor seriously wounds Obama.
2) Sworn and vicious enemy aids Clinton.
Why?
Are you supporting Dick Morris?
Submitted on May 2nd, 2008 by PreboomerI can't believe you are actually supporting Dick Morris, and even putting him in the same sentence with Begala and Carville. I don't think his intro would be lengthy at all.
Something like, "tonight we have Dick Morris on the show. Dick isn't supporting anyone, and as you'll see, he's here only to bash the Clintons for personal reasons, and has nothing else to offer". (Less than 10 seconds.)
Again, Begala, Carville and Brazile all state they will support the dem. nominee, no matter what. Carville even promises to contribute the max. Morris is not "for" anyone, and says he'll leave the country if Hillary wins.
Another good reason to back Hillary, right?
good point fred...
Submitted on May 2nd, 2008 by John 2000but, it IS the overall demeanor of the man that subtracts from any significance his message ..
Fair and Balanced
Submitted on May 2nd, 2008 by freddymFree speach is just that. Fox News would be remiss if they throttled Mr. Morris. Fox allows clips of Senator Clinton's politics-veiw point. To be balanced an opposing view needs air time. Fair is subjective.
Morris is not pleasant to TV view as well as Sen. Clinton. Fair-balanced would then dictate equal facial presentation. TV vs written 1st admendment considerations are prejudiced by different human sensory vibes.
Actually, not "Nuf said!"
Submitted on May 1st, 2008 by Jim LakelyI don't think I missed the whole point, Preboomer.
It would be quite ungainly to give Morris the lengthy intro you request. It's quite clear what his agenda is just from what he says. After all, he can't fool you.
A political hack -- be it Morris or Carville or Begala -- is a political hack. By definition, they have no principles, other than defending their "champions." Most viewers have the ability to filter, even without information about toe-sucking and tax troubles.
Cheers!

Pick a new organization and
Submitted on May 1st, 2008 by PabloPick a news organization and I will show you just as much inbalance than one can imagine.
CNN is in a Love relationship for Obama and spends extra time in Bashing McCain.
Best example was Larry King and spending an hour with Michael Moore.
That was even more unbalanced that anything Fox could hope to produce.
Every other sentence was vote Democrat and Obama and any vote for McCain is plain evil and unamerican. Moore actually said that. Unamerican to vote Republican.
The truth is that news in America is non existent. What you get is 30 seconds of pure news and 59 mimutes and 30 seconds of commentary of opinion on that 30 second of news.
Thus news is more about personal opinion of the newsperson than what is really happening in the world. Thus these newsmen only run that news which supports their overall position in general or will spin some important news to mean this or that rather than allowing us the people who are generally 1000 times smarter than the news people ever hope to be shows much.

Submitted on May 1st, 2008 by John 2000Think it would be great idea to at least put 'Clinton Basher' under his name on the screen with a little 'toxic' symbol.
I would like to not see him at all.
Morris is no Carville or Begala
Submitted on May 1st, 2008 by PreboomerYou missed the whole point. All I'm saying is that to be "Fair and Balanced, Fox should introduce Morris including his entire background so viewers know why he is a Clinton Basher.
And, actually I also prefer Fox over CNN, and watch it faithfully. When "DICK" Morris is on however, he has nothing to say that's intelligent enough to listen to.
Carville and Begala are at least a known quantity. Even if you don't agree with them, they are at least moral and don't owe $270,000 in back taxes. Plus their views are intelligent, and statements are based on their convictions, not childish anger.
Also, both Begala and Carville state on nearly every appearance that they will back Sen. Obama if nominated. Carville has pledged to contribute the max to Obama's fall campaign.
You ever hear "DICK" commit to back Hillary?
Nuf said!
Good point about CNN ...
Submitted on May 1st, 2008 by John 2000though I haven't been there in a long time (I do KNOW Begala and Roadkill Carville).
I used to get radiated by CNN at Stanford when I worked there and it was the only channel on and TVs were strung everywhere public.
You saying CNN is more pro-HRC leaning?
picky dicky
Submitted on May 1st, 2008 by sunshine308Every time I see him come on..or hear his voice.. I cringe..he's so vicious in his attacks on Hillary that you wonder how he can stomach himself. However..you are probably right..that he's so obvious..so dripping with hate and revenge, that people see through this and probably it is a positive for Hillary.. maybe we should write and let him know that..??
Re: Morris' knowledge makes no difference
Submitted on May 1st, 2008 by Jim LakelySince you switched to CNN, are you also disturbed by former Clintonistas Paul Begala and James Carville spitting out their spiel?
didn't know about the 'toe sucking'
Submitted on May 1st, 2008 by John 2000geeez ...
I agree he does know his stuff and he writes better than he comes across on TV. I mean he just drips of sleaze.
But I have been watching him for weeks hammering HRC viciously. There are times when the topic has changed where he jerks around like some snarly rabid rodent to lash out another 'did you know' line of attack.
It's so bad that I have thought he has to be helping her. I tune him out on the HRC stuff. His other stuff has some (marginal) value.
Morris' knowledge makes no difference
Submitted on May 1st, 2008 by AnonymousI don't care how much this character knows about the Clinton's. You know, because of his grudge, he is overly biased and obviously embellishes his statements. The viewing public is entitled to know the story when he's introduced on any Fox News show.
I have always questioned why Fox News would risk their "Fair and Balanced" spiel having this bird on their shows. He's a loser and I'm fed up with him.
I know, you say if you don't like him change channels. I now switch to CNN because he's a broken record and I know what he's going to say before he opens his goofy mouth.
Re: The rise and fall of Dick Morris
Submitted on May 1st, 2008 by Jim LakelyAh yes, BK. This was otherwise known as the "toe sucking" scandal. (I'll spare you the links, but Google if you're more curious).
But Morris does know what he's talking about when it comes to the Clintons. Few know them -- and their ruthless politics -- better.
The rise and fall of Dick Morris.
Submitted on May 1st, 2008 by The Big KlosowskiDick Morris' was running Bill Clinton's 1996 campaign, and they terminated him two months before the election, when it was revealed that he had allowed a nude prostitute to listen in on conversations with the President.
