Right reax to Obama's Wright plight
Posted 1 year 45 weeks ago byHere is a sampling of what some other conservative bloggers are saying about what I'd like to call Obama's "Goodfellas" moment today:
Victor Davis Hanson: "Note that when any candidate makes a Faustian bargain with extremists, nemesis eventually catches up with them. Obama chose to go the race route, first to start a political career in Chicago by enlisting Rev. Wright, and later a presidential bid predicated on winning an overwhelming black vote in the key primaries — and now the proverbial chickens are coming home to roost. He was half-right a few weeks ago: while he might well have disowned his own grandmother by apprising the nation of her racism, he surely now cannot disown Rev. Wright."
Byron York: "I just saw the transcript of Obama's news conference. It appears that he was not asked the question that seems most important, which is: 'In Philadelphia, you said that you could no more disown Rev. Wright than you could the black community or your white grandmother. Are you now disowning Rev. Wright?'"
Stanley Kurtz: "Apparently, at his new conference today, Obama gave as one of his reasons for repudiating Wright, Wright’s claim that Louis Farrakhan is one of the great figures of the century. In fact, this is old news. ...Why is it unacceptable now when it’s been a public story for some time? Had Obama looked into the matter when the award was announced and/or publicly condemned by those outraged at Wright’s actions, he could easily have turned up the very same quotes that Wright echoed yesterday at the National Press Club."
Julie Ponzi: "At this point the only thing separating Barack Obama from Hillary Clinton in terms of their respective willingness to say anything to get elected is that Obama was probably closer to 'sniper fire' in this instance than Hillary Clinton ever was in Bosnia. He may have dodged the bullet . . . but he also might succumb to post-traumatic stress."
Rick Moran: "Lost in Obama’s statement was his reiteration of the idea that he had never heard the Reverend Wright utter such sentiments. Given what the public has seen of Wright over the last three days, that explanation beggars belief. In 20 years of listening to 'Black Liberation Theology' -- a “social gospel” Obama calls it -- the candidate never heard his pastor go off on America, or whites, or Jews? He sits in a Church with a pastor who believes Louis Farrakhan is “one of the greatest men of the 20th and 21st centuries” and never heard that kind of praise uttered in his presence?"
Danny Huddleston: "Just for fun let's see how many days it took him to disown his radical preacher. He went to Trinity United Church for 20 years. No one knows how much time passed before he heard one of those fiery sermons, let's be generous and say it was two years. That's a possible 100 sermons, that leaves 18 years (and a possible 900 sermons) times 365 days. That's 6,570 days before he finally realized he should disassociate himself from Reverend Wright.... If a crisis happens while Obama is in the White House I hope he doesn't take that long to make a decision."
Ace of Spades: "Throwing him under the bus. I could no more disown him than I could disown someone who had become a serious political liability.... This time, the media will crow, he really has put this issue completely behind him. ... Of course they said that last time, too, and six thousand times since then. Wright is a "distraction" from what really matters, he informs us. Wow, I didn't see that one coming. HAHAHAHA! Claims that Wright's recent 'performances' represent a 'Change' from the man he'd known for 20 years. Doubles down claiming that he hasn't heard this stuff from Wright before."

Remember the Nicole Kidman movie "To Die For" ?
Imagine the scene where "Season of the Witch is Playing" at the end where Angelica Huston is skating.
See Hillary as Nicole.
Quickly scroll back thru the movie.
See Hillary under the ice.
