Q: is George W. Bush a Dimwitted Moron, or the World's Most Diabolical Evil Genius?
Posted 17 weeks 2 days ago byThere have been so many passionate assertions throughout the nation as to the character and activities of our sitting president -- but there is a WIDE gap between the two common themes!
A) He’s an EVIL GENIUS:
- Some argue he masterminded the entire giant 9/11 conspiracy; Orchestrating the entering of these buildings with explosives, and sneakily placing them in strategic places throughout their structure. Simultaneously, apparently, he managed to get some airplanes flown in the buildings to disguise the results of the explosives.
- It is argued that for some contortion of logic, he orchestrated the planting off explosives in the Pentagon, and disguised this with a fictitious legend of a plane crash, or something like that.
- He orchestrated an external war in Iraq, so that he could seize vast oil reserves and hoard them with his buddies for countless profits (which is taking place now?).
- Even before holding any powerful national office, he orchestrated the stealing of the Presidential election from a former Vice President, and coerced lifetime-tenured Supreme Court judges to succumb to his will.
- He apparently orchestrated a team of brilliant scientific minds to develope AIDS, and once attained, began a sinister infusion into the black community.
- In an unparalleled manipulation of weather, he orchestrated specific hurricane activity to target minority neighborhoods, while apparently using local leadership from the opposition party to defeat any efforts to preemptively evacuate these communities.
These events (and any others I overlook) carried out with such precision and mastery that there are no indisputable firsthand witnesses, no inescapably conclusive "smoking guns", no verifiable leaks, and no turncoats or traitors within the conspiracies....Dia-BOLICAL!!!
... or...
B) He’s an IDIOT:
Is he the vocabulary challenged, dynastically-anointed half-wit successor; who can't correctly perceive his lunch menu, much less world affairs?
Nobody can have it both ways; truly, if you buy into one camp, you can't enjoy the slogans of the other!
Unsporting alternate choices lacking inflammatory value:
C) Often misguided, rather average, well-intentioned man who has fortitude but lacks the vision and brilliance our nation could well have used as an introduction to the 21st century.
D) Best thing that ever happenned to us all.
E) I Can’t make choices about breakfast cereals, much less presidents.
F) I don’t understand the question.
G) YOU don’t understand the question!

Steadfast?
Submitted on April 29th, 2008 by CORNFINGER66Yes President Bush is steadfast, like a train. Once he gets on track he can't get off.
He dosn't let polls or facts sway him.
He wanted to go too war with Irag from the get go. So he only picked an choose the information that suited him. Facts be damned.
As with smirks and scrunching of the brow. You ever see the picture of Bush with the fireman on top of the trade center rubble?
It looks like to me, the look on his face says. "Mom, Dad, and Laura look at me, Dick is letting me play President today." He sure as hell dosn't look very sad or mournful.
also steadfast rather than poll driven
Submitted on April 28th, 2008 by John 2000I think the fact that GWB has really been steadfast in his goals and obviously little swayed by polls are the two characteristics that lay as the bases for some of the 'evil' chatter and probably the bulk of the popular 'moron' jokes. That he could possibly still be standing there in the face of all of the crap that has been thrown his way since the very beginning in some almost forgotten era through until now is so damned infuriating that it can only be defined as evil or stupid.
As his quite ungrounded and very poll-driven predecessor once said, 'I feel your pain'. And yes, Chuck, you make a very good point about the 'speech' thing. There have been numerous times when I have thought, please don't trip over the words again.
The little smirk ... the little scrunching of the brow.
Speakers Rather than Thinkers
Submitted on April 28th, 2008 by Chuck_JohnsonI wonder why its a common tactic of the Left to automatically dismiss a candidate based upon his speaking abilities but then to total fall in love with another candidate based upon his speaking abilities. What an inconsistency...

sigh (JAN)
Submitted on April 28th, 2008 by John 2000GWB is not running for president. Would you vote for Obama if you felt he had an even chance as Hillary?
True, that we probably know as much about Hillary as there is to mention, but it is also true that a much higher percentage than 50% do not trust her word.
And I have to take exception to "the president we get is the country we get". It is far from being that simple. I think, I hope, that you know that.
Personally, I do agree that Hillary is the better Democratic candidate who would have the best overall chance (excluding her current predicament) of pulling it off.
UNFEELING PRESIDENT GWB
Submitted on April 28th, 2008 by janmbThis president does not know what death is. He hasn't the mind for it. You saw him joking with the press, peering under the table for the weapons of mass destruction he can't seem to find, you see him at rallies strutting up to the stage in shirt sleeves to the roar of the carefully screened crowd, smiling and waving, triumphal, a he-man.
He does not mourn. He doesn't understand why he should mourn. He is satisfied during the course of a speech written for him to look solemn for a moment and speak of the brave young Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. But you study him, you look into his eyes and know he dissembles an emotion which he does not feel in the depths of his being because he has no capacity for it. He does not feel a personal responsibility for the 1,000 dead young men and women who wanted to be what they could be.
To mourn is to express regret and he regrets nothing. He does not regret that his reason for going to war was, as he knew, unsubstantiated by the facts. He does not regret that his bungled plan for the war's aftermath has made of his mission-accomplished a disaster. He does not regret that, rather than controlling terrorism, his war in Iraq has licensed it. So he never mourns for the dead and crippled youngsters who have fought this war of his choice.
Yet this president knew it would be difficult for Americans not to cheer the overthrow of a foreign dictator. He knew that much. This president and his supporters would seem to have a mind for only one thing - to take power, to remain in power, and to use that power for the sake of themselves and their friends.
The president we get is the country we get. You have seen Obama partly unmasked but the MEDIA took their time about it---what else is there as we don't really know the man. There are no secrets left about the Clinton--everything was exposed.
With each president the nation is conformed spiritually. Bush is the artificer of our malleable national soul. He proposes not only the laws but the kinds of lawlessness that govern our lives and invoke our responses. The people he appoints are cast in his image. The trouble they get into and get us into, is his characteristic trouble.
Finally, the media amplify his character into our moral weather report.

the vision and brilliance ...
Submitted on April 28th, 2008 by John 2000what? that Gore and/or Kerry would have provided?
what? that the Democratic Party provides?
what? that Bill Clinton provided?
what? that Jimmy Carter continues to provide?
what? (long list of other 'leading' dems provide?)
what? because Mr Hope of 'vision and brilliance' will not debate Mrs Liar under any circumstances because "uh, look, we have already debated 21 times and uh the American people already know and uh I have won more than twice as many states and uh she can't catch me." - brushing lint off shoulder -
He's certainly not inspiring.
Submitted on April 28th, 2008 by AnonymousHe's left a trail of failed companies in his wake. When in Texas he made a bunch of unfulfilled promises, and will be leaving the office of the President with a worsened reputation than Clinton. If he is intelligent, he's not gone out of his way to show it. One of the interesting items I've seen is that his public speeches are seemingly less and less cohesive throughout his term. His first debates against Gore were articulate, his speeches now are unintelligible.
TWO HAVE WEIGHED IN, WHERE ARE THE OTHER 1000'S??
Submitted on April 28th, 2008 by King David CaulCRIPES! John 2000, you've busted me! I KNEW it was coming but I didn't think it would be immediate. I rather hoped your conclusion would be from a hyper-hysterical, conspiratorially-obsessed loon -- but you've slipped it in all wry & sly. I feel cheated!
Seriously, that assertion is probably so valid to so many people, but under scrutiny is so Oliver Stone-Hollywood "truth"...nah, I'm not even going to go there till some truly passionate soul gets behind it. Cheers for staying tuned!
Joel, you're being so much kinder than when we first met. Please don't be gentle, I need debate too.
Well...

interesting paradox **
Submitted on April 27th, 2008 by John 2000**) there is always a loophole
He is an puppet idiot being manipulated by arch-evil monsters like Cheney, Rove, and anybody else that is associated with the word 'Republican'.
Oh yeah, and his grandfather was a Nazi, and his father involved with JFK assassination.
