Obliterate?

Until now I was annoyed by H. Clinton. Now I'm scared. In the debate last week she spoke of "massive retaliation" should Iran attack Israel or one of our Arab allies. Now she says "we would be able to totally obliterate them."

Does this sound like the kind of talk that will actually deter Iran? Is it a secret that we have thousands of nukes compared to the 5 or 10 they might make? Does she think this is her version of Reagan's successful "Evil Empire" strategy? At least he was only joking (and thought himself off mike) when he said "We begin the bombing in five minutes."

It is frightening to hear a presidential candidate rattling the sabre this loudly.
