ABC debate finally struck a whining Obama's nerve
Posted 31 weeks 5 hours ago byFinally, a debate where Sen. Obama was on the short end of the stick. And, from the whining we've heard today he can't stand the heat. Do we really want a president who can't handle the tough questions? We've watched the media tear Sen. Clinton apart for months while giving Obama pass after pass on important issues. No whining from her and she's still standing.
So, do I think ABC failed the democrats? No absolutely not. It's about time we see the real Obama. A whiner who thinks all middle class Americans are bitter, a man who's been setting in church with his wife and daughters on Sundays listening to racial outbursts, and hate America language from Rev. Wright. Come on fellow democrats, see him for what he really believes, not what he speaks with forked tongue.

and I wonder if I'm the only
Submitted on April 18th, 2008 by Anonymousand I wonder if I'm the only one who has thought about what would happen if a white preacher stood in the sanctuary and said things remotely along the line of Wright? I'm sure he would be thrown out of the church.

Democratic Debate!
Submitted on April 18th, 2008 by pet713I love it! I consider myself a moderate and it is about time they started grilling Obama on his choice of associations and why he has stood by that church for 20 years. Obama really looked uncomfortable answering those questions. Unlike, when he has someone write his speeches for him and he has time to rehearse his speeches, over & over until he gets the tone and emphasis right. I am quite sure he knew some of them were coming. "If you can't stand the heat. Get out of the kitchen!" So to see Obama squirm, some. Surprised me and then I could see the real Obama and I wasn't surprised anymore, just elated! Because he should have been more prepared to answer those tough questions. He surely will be getting a whole lot more of them, in the coming months.
Then his speech the next day. Made it all too apparent just how much his feathers got ruffled. He was acting like a child brushing his shoulder. That was a stupid ploy at reverse psychology trying to pretend he wasn't upset by the debate and the tough questions.
Since there is not much difference between these two candidates. They have to start chipping away at their character. Obama has some really big character & judgment flaws and isn't that what Obama is running on? Good judgment? I think he is a phony and debates like this - will bring his snobbish character to the forefront. Right where it needs to be, so that the middle town Americans he is trying to fool can really evaluate his character and his judgment!
ABC Should be Commended
Submitted on April 18th, 2008 by RespectfulguestSince when is it not important to question a presidential candidate's past associations, present associations for that matter, comments made about certain ethnic groups, comments made about people residing in certain areas of the country, or spouse who has not been proud to live in the US until husband runs for president?
Of course this has all been taken out of context, one big misunderstanding? Excluding Senator Obama's base, people are growing tired of this song and dance.
Speaking of songs and dances, if more news organizations would have been reporting rather than cheerleading for Senator Obama over the past year and a half then his presidential candidacy may have been over by now. In my estimation if either Senators McCain or Clinton had this past association baggage or publicly profiled american citizens by ethnicity or where they reside, both presidential candidacies would be done.
Good job ABC, and hopefully more news organizations will follow your lead.
Reconciled enough?

This is an easy one. Non-citizens who serve in the military are given a fast-track to U.S. citizenship. This is a non issue, so consider it "reconciled," and find a new distracting talking point.
Kansas Girl...
Submitted on April 18th, 2008 by sunshine308but then you are an Obama supporter so naturally you would say that..Obama is always defended and excused by Obaminites.. Well I dont excuse him .. there could have been some better questions yes.. but the ones they asked in the past allowed Obama to simply say.. oh yes.. what Senator Clinton said is correct.. he finally had to say something..answer some questions and they were good ones about Ayers, Taxes ..the economy ..and others.. He proved that he is totally inept.. has no comprehension of the economy and how it works.. taxes and how they work..the stock market and how it works.. and you cannot explain away a relationship with a terrorist who feels he hasnt bombed enough US Federal buildings yet..even if he started when Obama was 8.. it has no bearing on the fact that Obama picks for friends people who are very left, communist, socialist, marxist and Islamic and then of course Cones black liberation theologists like Wright..all of them hate America.. nice company he keeps.. and you definitely can judge people by the company he keeps.. As for the press, media.. well we know that they are mostly all biased in favor of Obama.. so what else would you expect them to say.. ??
Felons
Submitted on April 18th, 2008 by AnonymousIf felons serve the time in Prison they get the right to vote.the felons in prison do not get to vote. That right was given to them and they shouldget there rights back. This is America. Not the god dam america Obamas minister Wright has said.He blames America for all there troubles but never blame themselves.
No, I wasn't serious
Submitted on April 18th, 2008 by KansasGirlNo, I wasn't serious. I happen to be all for bi-partisan enfranchisement, but loving a debate - not because it was well reasoned - but because candidates were dragged through the mud? That's acceptable to you? THAT's the kind of politics you want? End of song.
Except to say that when you talk about non-citizen voting and insinuate an outrage, I'm going to remind you that those some of those same non-citizens fight in the military to protect you. Reconcile those two for me, please, and we'll talk.
Please don't vote?
Submitted on April 18th, 2008 by Jim LakelyAre you serious, Kansas Girl? I thought the Democrats were all about making sure that as many people as possible cast a ballot — even felons and non-citizens.
I, for one, am at least consistent and only want citizens who look up from "American Idol" once in a while to respect the franchise — even if they disagree with me. Preboomer is at least paying attention, as evidenced by his involvement here.
Sorry, Monica. The electorate — even old Blue Dogs like Preboomer — might vote against your guy. Get used to it. Not everything that matters to you matters to everybody else.
Oh goodness
Submitted on April 17th, 2008 by KansasGirlRead some of the commentary from other media outlets today. There's a pretty strong consensus that ABC and the moderators went seriously out in left field here, and did the voters a disservice in the process. That kind of mudslinging is what you want politics to be about? Please don't vote. I think there are serious issues at stake here, and while you may have found enlightenment in questions that had nothing to do with anything that mattered, I was disappointed. And you know what else? Hillary's camp was disappointed, too, so it's not just me.
you are so right on..
Submitted on April 17th, 2008 by sunshine308It is time for the "Obama" to be unmasked..actually long past time..but this is a most effective time to do it. He has shown us such poor judgement by his association of friends, criminals, terrorists, Islamic extremists, hate mongers, bigots, racists, marxists and socialist party leaders from foreign countries.. what ever possesses him to expose himself and our country to this type of risky association?? Most of these people have expressed anti-American sentiments..Obama is a racist and hate monger as evidenced by his 20 year stint with Wright in their Cones BLT church..as is Wright..now he has shown us the elitist attitude and the fact that he is extremely left, socialist, who will drown this country with debt and us with taxes to pay for fancy welfare schemes and higher benefits for others..it will be a phenomenal record setting puppet government ..should Obama get in..It is something we need to avoid at all costs if we want to ever feel safe and secure again.
