Very early, but nationwide polling between Clinton / McCain and Obama / McCain is virtually a dead heat. With the unpopular war (not that any war is popular, please support our troops), slumping economy and unsettled immigration issues, one would imagine either democratic candidate or any democtratic candidate would be leading the nationwide polling by at least 10 points or more at this stage.

Let's face it, a large portion of the American public can not stand (some may call it hate) the Bush Administration. If there is so much negative sentiment towards the current republican administration then why is the nationwide polling so close? 

Seemingly, day after day a video or documented source appears to contradict either a previous statement or claim from Senators Clinton and Obama. Right or wrong this has caused a portion of  the  American public to become very skeptical about the two democratic candidates when it comes to credibility. If the democratic candidates can ever get to the real issues then some polling separation may be made from Senator McCain, but until the credibility questions go away the presidential race will be close.

I do believe the American people will correctly decipher what is important and applicable from the daily barrage of information. I also believe that some of the information, claims and videos have been unfair to all the candidates. Please understand I said some, because I believe that others are fair game and important when it comes to judging credibility.

To the reader, my intention is not  to make this a stone throwing contest on a per incident basis as to which candidate is more credible than the other. I also understand John McCain's credibility needs srutinized as well (topic for another blog)...but let me ask this:

*Do you believe credibility issues whether perceived or real are the major factor in bringing the democratic candidates back to John McCain in the national polls? If yes your thoughts, If not your thoughts?
