I have nothing to say.
Posted 33 weeks 3 days ago byi have nothing to say to the people who say this is a great war. Yes I was in contemp. issues class today and well we just started talking about the Iraq War. (its been 5 years you know) and all of a sudden this new kid just blurts out "I think this is a great war we need to straighten those Iraqies out" I kid you not people those are the word that came out of his mouth. I asked why, and he replied "because my dad is over there fighting to keep your liberty" I chukled and asked him what liberty we have no freedom and liberty in this country, your father is over there fighting to keep his life everyday now not to help a diffrent country or to keep the peace. If we want to keep the peace we would pull out right now! Then he glared at me like a hawk and didn't say anything eles.

Submitted on April 1st, 2008 by addictOFcookiesWow is this all you do all day or something. Look around at this website and go find the poor little teenager and go flare at him for stating an opinion. Come on dude its and opinion you can't get pissed of what I think, and don't get mad at me because you have no life so this blog flare game you like to play is all you do; so if you think I'm going to flare in any other way than this right here your wrong. Thats all i have to say.
DON'T WAIT ACT NOW
peace
Then you should keep your mouth shut

And you sure sound really smug and arrogant about your casual indifference to the fact that a classmate, whose parent is making the ultimate sacrifice for his country, is proud of his father. Way to go!
I don't think it's funny at all. I certainly saw nothing in your classmate's comment that should make one "chukle" -- but I profess I'm not some high steppin' intellectual such as yourself.
You don't think you're free? Did you know in some countries you probably wouldn't even be able to see this website, much less make the asinine comment you just did?
In other countries you couldn't sit there in your classroom looking down from your high horse at your poor, naive classmate and his warrior father for their commitment to the liberty you so readily scoff at and take for granted. If there was a university at all for you to attend you might find it hard to learn anything what with all the crouching under your desk in between blasts from suicide bombers or hunger pangs from lack of decent food supplies or insufficient drinking water -- or even the most basic human needs at your finger tips.
You got it all right here, buddy and you want to come here and make a wise ass comment like "We're not free" ?? Free and stupid are two different things. Unfortunately for you, you happen to be both. Therefore, the latter keeps you from truly understanding, much less appreciating the former.

Submitted on March 31st, 2008 by BenWell, Addict, for somebody who has "nothing to say" to people who think this is a "great war," you certainly express plenty of contempt. But let me challenge you a little. Maybe you have more to say than you let on.
You may well be correct that if we "want to keep the peace we would pull out right now." But the burden is on you to prove why that is so. What evidence do you have that suggests it is so? What examples in history can you point to that back your claim that a quick withdrawal of forces from an unstable country would result in anything except calamity?
You say "we have no liberty and freedom (two words meaning essentially the same thing) in this country." Do you really believe that? How so? What liberties do you not have that you believe you should have? Please elaborate.
