The Jeremiah Wright Story Must Never End
Posted 33 weeks 6 days ago byThere are those in the media that argue that the final words have been uttered in the Jeremiah Wright story. "Let's move on" they say. On behalf of all patriotic American's let me say that this story will never end until Senator Obama leaves this candidacy!
How dare he stay for 20 years at a church where such words were uttered. It does not matter that he has now rejected those words...he was fine with such hateful rhetoric for 20 years! The comments weren't just hateful to America, but down right paranoid. What logic can persuade a man...not just a presidential candidate...to stay in a church where the Pastor believes that the HIV virus was created by the government to kill African Americans? The government can't balance a budget much less create such a virus.
Senator Obama's speech was beautiful. Outside the context of this story it would have been historic. Instead it is just another ploy by just another politician trying to change the subject. OOPS I've been caught. Well, lets talk about race. Turns out Senator Obama is just like every other politician out there...evade and lie. Lie about the 20 years of hate he took in as his MENTOR uttered such words. This MENTOR is not a man the president of the US should be remotely close to ever.
What is really scary is how Senator Obama has been able to hold on to his base of support despite the controversy. Any other politician would have been lampooned by now. Senator's Obama's rhetorical skills are those of a demagogue. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Senator Obama is scary. His skills at looking honest, but supporting America hating cronies, is disturbing.
Let us not think that this nation is immune to the power of demagogues like Chavez in Venezuela. Senator Obama is dangerous because he seems so dangerous in the first place if you don't question his ardent circle of backers and mentors.
At this point of the campaign season I don't care if Hillary or McCain wins the election. A man who hates America with "all its flaws" as he likes to point out, should never be President, or even Senator, of the Greatest nation on this world. Period.

AGAINST JOHN MCAIN IN THE NOV. ELECTION.
why so touchy..

Why so touchy?
Submitted on March 28th, 2008 by AnonymousIt amazes me how people who want to support Obama will rationalize it without rational thought. It also amazes me how people (both sides) claim to be the only ones with an "open mind". I'd be afraid of things falling out of my open mind! Or maybe all kinds of things falling in with no discrimination of good or bad:-)
I have had to leave a church because I could not condone statements by a pastor that went against my Biblical beliefs. I did not do it lightly, believe me, but after many discussions I had to go. I could not remain and support this. I've had to do this twice in my lifetime.
This is one of the most difficult decisions a person of faith will ever face. In the end, attending a church where these things are allowed and condoned is not OK for a Christian person -- if it goes against Biblical, faith-based values.
Don't start yelling at me. This is a place for open debate. When people start going off on others because they differ in their opinions, it closes minds on both sides. Embrace the fact that you are allowed to believe differently about issues and express those beliefs openly in the USA. At least you can today.
black power
Submitted on March 28th, 2008 by sunshine308it is actually the black liberation theology that he embraces.. Cones legacy.. it is based on hate of whites.. so a bit different from the Black Power organizations..
OBAMAS Bad side
Submitted on March 28th, 2008 by AnonymousPatrotic Americans are saying"when is it going to sink into the voters what an evil person Obama is". 20 yrs. in a church that has hate sermons and not get up and leave. This must mean that he went along with the sermons. Obama stands for BLACK POWER is this who you want for a president I don't think so. Don't you white voter understand what your doing
History lesson:
Submitted on March 28th, 2008 by wishnevskyHistory lesson:
At some point after the assassination of MLK Jr and the Atlanta Olympics, the Southern whites quietly came to the realization, that "keeping the Black people down" was actually keeping the white people themselves from progressing, keeping them locked in hatred, fixated on denying other people their just deserts, rather than concentrating on living their own lives, and tolerating the aspirations of one's neighbor, whether one loves that neighbor or not.
That decision led to the "New South." Now the South is far more prosperous and a happier place to live than many places in the Northern "Rust Belt."
In a comparable manner, eventually the African American people will decide to give up their fixation on victimization, and make what lives they can, as they can, without regard for historical injustices suffered.
This is the message of Bill Cosby and some few others.
It might be hard, but it can be done. And until it is done, charlatans like Wright will prosper at the expense of their own people.
Kansas Girl..
Submitted on March 28th, 2008 by sunshine308you may be patriotic Kansas girl.. but many so called patriotic people have been taken in by demagoughery in the past.. and so they are again.. I believe that if some how Obama was properly scrutinized it would open a few eyes .. you would know then what a few of us who have researched him know..The shortest statement I can make to you is that a man is known by the company he keeps.. so imagine this for a moment.. Obama, Rezko, Ayers, Wright, Farrakahn, Veltroni, Odinga.. wow..what a perfect gang.. liers, criminals, terrorists, hate mongers and bigots, racists, communists and an Islamic extremist who is his uncle.. almost a gang that could make Chicago look good. Why dont you people put the loose wires on your head together so it's on "on".. before you hand the keys to our country to someone that could be extremely dangerous not only for our country but all of us as well.
well I'm patriotic...
Submitted on March 28th, 2008 by sunshine308We are all entitled to vote for who we wish..but I believe the point being made here is a good one..but to clarify it a bit..or define it might be the better word.. this church embraces Black Liberation Theology, Cones variety..without going into a lot of detail here..check out the internet and find out what Cones theology is..but it is based on hate of whites and blaming whites for everything that happened to blacks. If you know that it is easier to understand the remarks that Wright made..it does not however, excuse them..nor does it excuse Obama being indoctrinated in this church and its doctrine for 20 years and not having the integrity to leave. Because he did not, it means he agreed with the ideology which is why he won't denounce the pastor or this church..it's imbedded in his being.. and he is now teaching his children this theology. In addition the bulletins in this church posts such hate and racist opinions about things like Jews, sympathy for PLO, etc.. how can anyone with a brain connected deny these things after 20 years of emersion? .. they can't obviously. All this information is verifiable by going to the church web site.. it is there for all to read..
you know what?
Submitted on March 28th, 2008 by KansasGirlAll this righteous indignation would be a little more believable if you hadn't been slamming Obama for anything and everything since long before the Jeremiah Wright story. You weren't ever going to vote for him, so of course he's not catering to you. Those of us who have an open mind have slightly different opinions, and that doesn't make us unpatriotic. Of course you won't agree, but that doesn't make it any less true.
Well, I'm a patriotic American
Submitted on March 28th, 2008 by Joel... and you don't speak for me. Just so that's clear.
In any case, I don't think you have to worry about Jeremiah Wright going unnoticed. You won't be able to watch a TV between now and November without a Jeremiah Wright clip being played.
And, for what it's worth, I disagree with your assessment of Obama's patriotism. Hearing somebody who has disagreeable sentiments -- even liking somebody who has disagreeable sentiments -- does not mean you share those sentiments. I've seen no evidence that Obama "hates" America, but I have seen evidence that he is clear-eyed about the challenges facing the country. If that is unpatriotic, then we're all in trouble.
