Sour Grapes for Hillary

Here's Hillary strategerist Mark Penn on Bill Richardson's endorsement of Obama:

“The time that he could have been effective has long since passed. I don’t think it is a significant endorsement in this environment.”

I'm glad to know Penn would have said that even if Richardson had endorsed Clinton.    Right.

Even better is James Carville:

“Mr. Richardson’s endorsement came right around the anniversary of the day when Judas sold out for 30 pieces of silver, so I think the timing is appropriate, if ironic.”

This is great stuff coming from a gun-for-hire.

I love that no-one on the Clinton side spoke of betrayal when Richardson was actually competing with Hillary for the nomination. Clearly, it should have been enough that Bill Clinton came to Santa Fe to watch the Superbowl with Richardson.
