Voting on Super Tuesday II

I didn't know what I would do until I got to my voting place. Should I cross-vote to help Sen. Clinton? Should I vote for McCain just because he would probably win the nomination anyway? Should I vote for the only candidate that is remotely conservative even though he would be the lesser of two evils?

In the end my conscience won and I cast my vote. I had a big problem with cross-voting. I understand the premise; I understand that the Dems picked McCain for us; I do not understand why Republicans think that makes it OK to play games on their side.

I'm not really judging them; they can do what they want. For me, however, it was a matter of not wanting to become like them. I'm still totally conflicted, but I can't wait to see the fall out.

My husband was talking with a friend who was blaming conservative talk shows for telling people to cross-vote. It's not as simple as he says, but who wants to bet that the media will focus in on Republican cross-voters and not on how McCain won the Republican nomination.

I have to say I'm happy about the results at the moment. We need to keep Sen. Clinton in there for several reasons, not the least of which is that Sen. Obama is a scary dude (has made it to far on charisma alone)

Now the fun really begins as we watch Clinton and Obama duke it out while the Republicans get a chance to strategize for the "big race". I just hope McCain and co take advantage of their head start to make strides in their campaign.
