How vulnerable is the internet?

YouTube was blocked for several hours in many countries around the world on Sunday. No it wasn't a glitch in their system, nor did it have anything to do with the U.S.. In fact, it was a tiny little country in the Middle East thats probably hiding Bin Laden.

The Pakistani government required a telecommunications company based out of Pakistan to block YouTube from internet users within their own country because it contains anti-Islamic material. Actually, they didn't block the site; they simply sent it to a "black hole."

Supposedly by accident, this company made an identity for themselves as the worlds "fastest route to YouTube," for Internet computers which made bored internet geeks around the world see this "black hole" when they typed in youtube.com.

Yes it takes something as simple (and stupid) as this to create chaos on the internet infrastructure.

I have my doubts about whether this was an accident but I'm just an average citizen. Granted, YouTube is hardly an important or significant resource for everyday life...but what site will this happen to next? And who will cause an "accident" like this next time?
