I am an African American and I do not share the same views as Oprah and Obama's Pastor. The wonderful thing about being an American, is I have the right to GO BACK TO AFRICA; if I choose. Let me remind you, you are not endentured here to make millions a year Oprah, you may leave anytime.... it's your right.
you are so right.. we need unity and it is getting further from fruition in what I see happening.. the country and the democratic party is divided by Obama.. by his rhetoric, by the fact that the press are treating him with kid leather gloves.. afraid perhaps of racial statments being insinuated or charged.. that does not a level playing field make.. I do believe from the first day when Oprah spoke at his rally that this has been a racial campaign and that is divisive.. not unifying.. yet his followers keep saying that he will unite the country.. I do not see that.. but rather the opposite.. He belongs to a so called "christian church".. but it has a doctrine that is abominable.. it is racist to the core and the proof of that is it's recent "honoring" of one of the worst racists and bigots in the country.. Minister Farrakahn, an Islamic.. who openly advocates the DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA and the hate of whites, jews and gays.. How can anyone associate this with Obama and then believe that he is open minded and thinks of the best interests of whites, jews or gays..??? these people are backing Obama.. as is William Ayers, with PLO connections and one who has been involved in bombing u.s. government buildings..
As I see it the political divide is already there.. the racial divide as well and gender divide well on it's way and the military divide will be there soon as well.
I do believe that Hillary Clinton is the only one that can unite this country and capably do what needs to be done. She has the experience and the comittment and has a proven record behind her.

I really should have said something like - Race is a strong motivating policy, or something along those lines. I am sure that race is policy for many ethnic peoples, but I worded my statement a bit to strongly, in an effort to be dramatic. sorry. That being said, I still believe that race is one hell of a motivator, and Obamas election may make that question come to the forefront again, in a nasty manner, and just when things are almost starting to get at a more educated stance. . .
I really do not remember the 2000 election that well, as I had a different life then. . .
But politics is dirty business, and it needs to be fixed, and fast, so that the best man does become the President.
It all seems to go so fast now a days. . .
"Race is policy. . .
Ask any Jew, Black, Latino. Asian, Russian, White, whatever. . ."
Having been a victim of race discrimination in my lifetime, I find it odd to write a statement like the one above, and then turn around and say you didn't mean to say that we should make a decision based on race which is basically the definition of racism.
As a matter of fact, I do think McCain would be better for the presidency that Bush Jr., and we would all be in less trouble now. But remember, Karl Rove and Bush Jr. used racism to sink McCain's in 2000.
Eight years ago, John McCain took the New Hampshire primary and was favored to win in South Carolina. Had he succeeded, he would likely have thwarted the presidential aspirations of George W. Bush and become the Republican nominee. But Bush strategist Karl Rove came to the rescue with a vicious smear tactic.
Rove invented a uniquely injurious fiction for his operatives to circulate via a phony poll. Voters were asked, "Would you be more or less likely to vote for John McCain...if you knew he had fathered an illegitimate black child?" This was no random slur. McCain was at the time campaigning with his dark-skinned daughter, Bridget, adopted from Bangladesh.
It worked. Owing largely to the Rove-orchestrated whispering campaign, Bush prevailed in South Carolina and secured the Republican nomination.
See what subtle use of obviously prejudicial speech can accomplish?
I say that the best qualified candidate is the best man for the job. I dont care if he dress like a woman, and he has a huge beard. If he has the solutions that will work, he gets my vote.
I just wish that we had voted MccCain to the presidency in 2000. That way 911 might have been handled much more better. . . Know what I mean?
Race is policy. . .
Ask any Jew, Black, Latino. Asian, Russian, White, whatever. . .
Wars are fought over it, and it is sometimes labeled Ethnic Cleansing. . .
Get aware and join the real world. . .
Sorry Anonymous, I do not subscribe to the media hype.
If you can not tell me what the policy is in ten words or less, that is bad politics and bad policy, and I do not need to hear it. I am a simple man who understands the need for simplicity in policy. Not rhetoric!
I can tell by Obamas actions and demeanor, that he is self serving. He is star struck, and has no idea of what a real american life is about. I do not see him as a creative problem solver at all. That is the only thing that is of consequence.
How many problems has he solved?
How many problems has he created?
He has created more alienations, than he has solved, I have to ascertain. . .
He will split the country wide, into a racial divide, a policy divide, a military divide, a gender divide, and a political divide. . .etc.
This is not what we need. The US needs unity now, To ensure that the problems that affect the US globally are competently handled. There are just to many factions that play into the Obama formula that are divisive.
This is not good news for Americans, freedoms, and world politics. . .

Obama racially divisive? Only to those stuck 100 years ago.
Submitted on February 26th, 2008 by AnonymousI think Obama will only be racially divisive to those people who put race first - typically those people who are racist against blacks and hispanics.
Blacks, hispanics, asians, and white people who have moved into the 21st century will focus less on race and more on policy.
Abomination is correct. . .
