Snipes Beats More Blood-Suckers
Posted 41 weeks 4 days ago byWesley Snipes, star of the Blade movies and martial artist, has a history of fighting blood-suckers and he didn't disappoint today in his battle against the Internal Revenue Service over failure to pay taxes.
According to The New York Times ,
Mr. Snipes was found not guilty on two felony charges of fraud and conspiracy. He was also acquitted on three misdemeanor charges of failing to file tax returns or to pay taxes, but was convicted on three others. He faces up to three years in prison.
It's too bad that Snipes is facing still more time in prison, but maybe he can get that sentence watered down via plea bargain or through appeal.
The New York Times says that Snipes is "an unlikely hero" of the anti-tax movement. They are wrong. There is no functional difference between the blood-suckers he beat on the silver screen and the ones he defeated in the courtroom.
