Looks like Giuliani is out... and set to endorse McCain

Earlier, it looked like a tight contest between John McCain and Mitt Romney in the Sunshine State. But the senior senator from Arizona has scored a victory in the Florida primary tonight.

And Rudy Giuliani appears to be headed for the exit.

Remarkable, considering that a few months ago so many highly paid professional pundits were speaking confidently of an electoral "subway series," with the ex-mayor of New York City facing off against Senator Hillary Clinton in November.

Forget it. Now Giuliani has reportedly cut a deal with McCain to announce his endorsement as early as tomorrow.

Pity, if true. I'd rather see Rudy stick it out through super-duper Tuesday. He might still lose, but it would make it much more interesting and it would force McCain and Romney to fight for more votes.
