Romney's the proven leader, not McCain
Posted 49 weeks 4 days ago byMcCain brags he never worked in the for-profit sector, which is a shame.
He's worked for government almost his entire life, as did his father and grandfather.
As a result, he despises Romney for his private sector career, success and wealth.
McCain is a big government man.
What has his service on the Senate Commerce committee taught him?
Nothing that will make him a strong, effective president. Instead, it's taught him to treat business ownners and executives as pawns who can be manipulated. It's taught him that businesses don't really compete in the marketplace, they compete in Washington for political advantage.
For McCain, the face of American business is the K Street Lobbyist, a former member of congress who's making millions because he or she was a pretty good politician, but not good enough to become a leader.
Think of McCain as the kind of guy who thinks "we've got to keep these businesses honest."
Business is the villan in Washington, except when McCain and others need campaign contributions.
McCain desparages Romney as a manager, not a leader.
But did McCain make general? Did he graduate at the top of his Naval Academny class? Does he have a graduate degree? Did he create a squadron or simply inherit one and "lead" it for awhile? How many battles and wars has he won?
If McCain doesn't get the leadership role that Romney and other business executives play, he certainly has no respect for them. Instead of advocating the strengths in our economy, he joins the Democrats in mocking them.
At least Sen. Clinton worked in a law firm and served on Wal-Mart's board, which gave her a view of the world McCain has never had and never will.
That any self-respecting member of the GOP establishment supports McCain is simply astounding.
Sen. McCain's at his best debating sentences in bills, and he's at his worst when he tries to play "leader."
