My last post about Mike Huckabee, theocrat
Posted 42 weeks 6 days ago byWhy? Because Mike Huckabee, theocratic presidential candidate, will never be Mike Huckabee, theocratic president. At best, he'll be Mike Huckabee, theocratic vice president -- not in Cheney fashion, but more in Quayle fashion, given a few government commissions to look after and basically kept out of public view except for the occasional gaffe.
That's my prediction, anyway. So he's not worth the time, because he's an easy takedown.
That said, let me note Sarah Posner's post on Huckabee's rhetoric:
Huckabee thinks if the "seculars" are allowed to rule America, our country could suffer the same fate as Nazi Germany. A resounding insult all around from this "Christian leader."
In fact, he's been making this comparison for years -- I saw him give more or less the same speech in Iowa back in 2005. And here's the thing that frightens his opponents, on both sides of the aisle: He really believes this stuff. He's not just giving a nod and a wink to pro-lifers, the way George W. Bush and Rudy Giuliani do. He considers it his life's work.

Thoughts
Huck's no theocrat

Checked
Submitted on January 23rd, 2008 by cpetI checked the definition. Theocrat is a person who rules, governs as a representative of God or a deity, or is a member of the ruling group in a theocracy, as a divine king or a high priest (dictionary.com). He fits the bill, he truly believes he is a representative of God, and buy the way he is off his rocker.
Look up 'theocrat'
Submitted on January 23rd, 2008 by Another skepticI oppose Huck because he doesn't believe in evolution or conservative principles when it comes to economics, amnesty and national security.
But I looked up "theocrat" some time ago, and that's not him.
