Submitted on January 16th, 2008 by The Big KlosowskiI have a buddy that teaches English in Beijing, and on a whole he tells me that the population turns a blind eye the lack of human rights as long as the prosperity of the people is on the up-and-up. He can't even have a picture of Tiananmen Square and most don't know what it even is over there.
